Point Guard

Lonzo Ball - New Orleans Pelicans (vs. Golden State Warriors)

With Andrew Wiggins questionable for Monday night’s matchup between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans most daily fantasy players will see Steph Curry as a virtual lock for tonight’s eight-game slate. While it’s undeniable (if Wiggins is out) that Curry’s usage will be through the roof, not to mention he will be in the perfect match up against the Pelicans team that allows their opponents to shoot an average of 38.2 percent from beyond the arc. The only pivot off of a chalky Curry tonight would be any roster narratives based around a New Orleans blow out. Just to be clear, I will be investing in Curry. With that said the pivot is clear. The only way Curry does not hit daily fantasy value tonight, is if Golden State simply cannot keep up with the Pelicans. If this narrative results in a Pelicans blow out, Curry will be sitting throughout the fourth quarter and he will not reach value. Lonzo Ball and Eric Bledsoe would be two players to invest in if you want to avoid rostering Curry along with roughly 60-70% of your league. I expect Curry’s ownership to be through the roof tonight. The New Orleans Pelicans are favored by -2.0 with a 236.5 O/U.

Other PG Option: TJ McConnell, Raul Neto, Trae Young

Shooting Guard

Eric Bledsoe - New Orleans Pelicans (vs. Golden State Warriors)

If you are a daily fantasy player who likes to avoid investing in chalky plays, tonight is the night for you. Stephen Curry and Caris LeVert are likely to be two of the highest owned players on a given slate in quite some time. Although these two players are projected to exceed value (considering the injuries), there is always a chance they do not perform. LeVert and Curry both have obvious pivots/leverage plays in Brissett and fading the Warriors all together with high exposure to either Adams, Ball or Bledsoe. Bledsoe will be called upon to limit the damage Curry is clearly capable of. This makes Bledsoe a clear pivot play opposed to the chalky Curry. Bledsoe has yet to face the Warriors this season but last season, Bledsoe scored 16 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds in one game against the Warriors. Pivot plays are not necessarily obvious and are often most beneficial when there are extremely popular plays that many people are on. Investing in Eric Bledsoe and other Pelicans (paired with fading Curry) is a solid leverage strategy on tonight's 8-game slate.

Other SG Option: CJ McCollum

Small Forward

Aaron Gordon - Denver Nuggets (vs. Los Angeles)

Aaron Gordon is going up against a hobbled Los Angeles Lakers team. Is a game that I assume is going to be extremely chaotic, Eric Gordon will benefit the most. Gordon has averaged 27.8 DK FPPG. Over the course of this season and has been struggling as of late. In his past five outings, three of them have been 17.0 fantasy points or less. Gordon has yet to break out for his new team, but considering his injuries and match up you may be able to get a talented Aaron Gordon at valuable salaries and low ownerships. The Denver Nuggets are favored by -5 points with a 214 O/U.

Other SF Options: Doug McDermott & Tony Snell

Power Forward

Oshae Brissett - Indiana Pacers (vs. Washington Wizards)

Washington has consistently allowed massive points to their opposition over the course of this season. Tonight they face an Indiana Pacers team that could be without Malcom Brogdon as well as role players such as Lamb, Sampson, Sumner and Bitadze. These injuries will have Caris LeVert earning a massive usage increase. I expect LeVert to do what he does best and keep Indiana in this match up though isolation scoring. With that said, similar to Curry, LeVert will be highly rostered. If you want to avoid an undoubtedly chalky play in LeVert, consider Brissett as a soiled pivot. His match up against Hachimura is a favorable one. Make sure to check Indiana’s confirmed line up closer to lock. Brogdon’s status for tonight's matchup dictates how you should approach this game/slate.

Other PF Option: Draymond Green, Zion Williamson & Robert Covington

Steven Adams - New Orleans Pelicans (vs. Golden State Warriors)

I mentioned above that Stephen Curry should be massively popular if Wiggins is confirmed out. This play should be paired with a Lonzo Ball/Eric Bledsoe but if you do think that Curry busts at a projected 60+% ownership, Adams would likely benefit. Golden State has also had major issues with allowed offensive rebounds. If Steven Adams is confirmed starting (toe), he will rack up blocks, rebounds and put backs in a New Orleans victory against a Wiggins-less Warriors squad.

Other C Option: Isaiah Stewart

Bargain Bin

PG Raul Neto

SG Doug McDermott

SF Aaron Gordon

PF Oshae Brissett

C Steven Adams
