Point Guard

Lonzo Ball - New Orleans Pelicans (vs. San Antonio Spurs)

Lonzo Ball is the better playmaker in this matchup with San Antonio's starting PG Murray. The Pelicans are - 3 point favorites with a 224 O/U. Ball should be able to do his thing with the Spurs on a back to back. San Antonio has been known to allow massive games to opposing guards including Doncic and SGA this and last season. Ball has averaged 25.3 DK PPG over 25.5 minutes of play since his return. Look for him to build off his last three performances and show up in a big way tonight against the 27th ranked team vs. the point guard.

Make sure to check the Rotoworld NBA Optimizer before lock! Here you will find the top plays paired with accurate projections which will help you create your lineup!

Shooting Guard

Shai Gilgeous Alexander - Oklahoma City Thunder (vs. Portland Trailblazers)

Some might think SGA would get the tough matchup in Lillard but if you really look at the sizes of OKC and Portland’s guards, you’d see that SGA matches up much better with Rodney Hood and George Hill or Hamidou Diallo are more suited to defend Lillard anyway. Now, why does this matter? SGA is a solid defender and is by all accounts better than Hood. Both players are 6’6 and have slim features but SGA has the speed and muscle on Hood. How do I see this game playing out? I see Lillard and SGA doing their thing until the last shot. Carmelo Anthony should benefit from extended minutes if Hood gets limited like I believe he will. The combo of SGA and Melo might be my favorite pairing on the slate.

Other SG Option: Jalen Brunson - Dallas Mavericks (vs. Indiana Pacers)

Small Forward

Tim Hardaway Jr. - Dallas Mavericks (vs. Denver Nuggets)

Targeting Will Barton’s defense has been something I like to take advantage of this season. With Michael Porter Jr. back it becomes a little tougher to nail down. What if MPJ starts? In that scenario, Hardaway becomes a bust. My advice, monitor this lineup until lock. Try to nail down exactly when Barton will be used (1st unit / second unit), then find the matchup. Long story short, if Barton is starting, considering the injuries to Dallas’ SF/PF, Tim Hardaway has the usage shift and the matchup in his favor!

Other SF Option: Justin Holiday - Indiana Pacers (vs. Toronto Raptors)

Power Forward

Josh Green - Dallas Mavericks (vs. Denver Nuggets)

*Punt Play*

Green has been starting in Dallas the injuries to Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson. For minimum salary, he did great. He was grabbing rebounds, making plays in transition, and looked confident. His actual production on the other hand wasn’t great. I think the perfect word here is “potential”. If given ample time this kid will exceed value. Paul Millsap is becoming less of a threat defensively and offensively as he gets older. Long shot here but if you need someone on the cheaper side of the salary range, Josh Green will soon be a consistently viable option.

Other PF Option: Aaron Gordon - Orlando Magic (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Center

Dwight Howard - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Detroit Pistons)

Embiid is out again. Fire up Dwight Howard at reasonable pricing. He’ll match up against Mason Plumlee which doesn’t worry me. Dwight Howard is pure value tonight. The 76ers are - 6.5 favorites with a 216.5 O/U. Popular chalk worth eating tonight.

Other C Option: Anthony Davis / Marc Gasol - Los Angeles Lakers ( vs. Cleveland Cavaliers)
