NFL DFS Plays: Saturday Week 16

This article aims to highlight some of the best NFL DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NFL News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at the three-game slate for Week 16. Lineups lock at 1:00 ET with Tampa Bay-Detroit starting things off.

QUARTERBACK

Kyler Murray - Arizona (vs. San Francisco) - DK: $7,500 / FD: $8,700 / Yahoo: $35

Tom Brady will be a popular choice in a better matchup, but I’m looking towards Murray through all formats on Saturday. His rushing upside is undeniable, and the draw vs. San Francisco isn’t as daunting as it seems on paper. After all, the 49ers just allowed Andy Dalton and the Cowboys to score 41 points last Sunday. Murray didn’t have much trouble with San Francisco the first time around (27 FP), and injuries have plauged the Niners since then. You can play Murray solo or try to pair him with top WR DeAndre Hopkins, but that’s not a prerequisite.

Also Consider: Tom Brady

RUNNING BACK

Leonard Fournette - Tampa Bay (at Detroit) - DK: $5,500 / FD: $7,000 / Yahoo: $21

Ronald Jones will continue to miss time moving forward. That’s good news for Leonard Fournette and his DFS backers, especially in a juicy matchup at Detroit - who has allowed the most fantasy points to RBs this season. Fournette translated 17 touches into 65 yards and two touchdowns last week, and he’ll operate as Tampa’s RB1 yet again. Don’t overthink it, Fournette is a fantastic play on this three-game Saturday slate.

Myles Gaskin - Miami (at Las Vegas) - DK: $5,300 / FD: $6,600 / Yahoo: $19

Gaskin missed the last two games for Miami, but he’s expected to return on Saturday. He should jump back to the top of the depth chart while expecting to see 15-20 touches. That volume makes him a respectable fantasy asset against a Raiders team that has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to RBs this season. Some may be worried that Salvon Ahmed will eat into Gaskin’s carries after a nice showing last week, but Gaskin is still the RB1 in this promising draw.

Also Consider: Jeff Wilson Jr.

WIDE RECEIVER

Brandon Aiyuk - San Francisco (at Arizona) - DK: $6,700 / FD: $7,800 / Yahoo: $26

C.J. Beathard will take over QB duties for San Francisco. He profiles similarly to Nick Mullens, who has started in place of Jimmy Garoppolo over the last few months. Aiyuk has been a target monster with Mullens under center, and there’s no reason to believe that will change. The rookie from Arizona State has averaged north of 12 targets in his last five games, catching a touchdown in four of those. Aiyuk is the key to this banged-up San Francisco offense, and the impressive volume will continue to sustain him.

Marvin Jones Jr. - Detroit (vs. Tampa Bay) - DK: $4,900 / FD: $6,800 / Yahoo: $17

If Kenny Golladay is out or limited - which seems likely - then Marvin Jones profiles as as strong DFS option through all formats. Jones has seen 12 targets in three of his past four games, and he should continue to be the focal point of a Detroit offense backed into passing situations. The matchup isn’t terrible either, as Tampa has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2020. Pairing Aiyuk and Jones on the same roster gives you a high-floor duo for cash games.

Also Consider: Nelson Agholor, Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins, Richie James (DK)

TIGHT END

T.J. Hockenson - Detroit (vs. Tampa Bay) - DK: $4,400 / FD: $6,000 / Yahoo: $19

Honestly, I’m looking at whatever salary cap I have left to spend on a tight end and defense. Darren Waller is tempting within this group, but I’m not looking to prioritize a tight end on this slate. If I have enough salary to make Hockenson work, then that’s probably the route I’ll take. As mentioned earlier, the Lions will be throwing a bunch to keep pace with Tampa, and the Bucs have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to TEs this season … Otherwise, pairing TE Dan Arnold as a cheap filler with Kyler Murray works too.

Also Consider: Mike Gesicki, Dan Arnold

DEFENSE

Cardinals Defense (vs. San Francisco) - DK: $3,300 / FD: $4,800 / Yahoo: $16

I like the Cardinals Defense at home against C.J. Beathard and (to a lesser extent) the Raiders Defense vs. Tua’s Dolphins. It’s slim pickens on this slate, so I’m mostly looking for a value filler that organically fits into my lineups. The Cardinals find themselves in the best matchup, while the Bucs and Raiders follow.

Also Consider: Raiders Defense
