DRAFT is back for another season of quick and exciting daily fantasy action. Their DFS platform offers poolies with a chance to participate in a format that most of us have grown very accustomed to over the years. You can compete in a live snake draft in which the participants take a player with each pick. Unlike other DFS games, this gives you the opportunity to use your knowledge to craft a team that no one else will have because the players you select cannot be chosen by your competition.
The draft is quick as you are allotted just 30 seconds per pick and you take five players. Your team is comprised of three forwards, a defenseman and a goalie.
Your strategy can be dictated by the positions being selected ahead of you. For instance, if you are going last and everyone else has a goaltender then you can wait until your last pick to make that selection. Of course, selecting players going up against weaker competition or players who are riding hot streaks are always popular strategies as well.
Remember, there are new pools available to play in but the players in my rankings will fall off the table as soon as the puck drops in their respective game.
Familiarize yourself with the rues and enjoy! It’s a great game! Wednesday’s five-game slate features four-person and plenty of three-person drafts. There are also head-to-heads to participate in.

McDavid's always a safe bet, but if you want to ride the hot hand then there are better options out there. Crosby is coming off a hat trick and has six points in his last three games. Laine has an unreal 13 goals in his last six games. Meanwhile, his teammate Wheeler is on a three-game multi-point streak.
There's no real logic to ranking Karlsson first today. I just feel like he'll step up against his former team. It's a gamble to be sure and if you don't want to make that one with me, then slide Karlsson below Letang instead.
Jaroslav Halak has outplayed Rask for the most part this season, but Rask has been solid lately. Rask has allowed two or fewer goals in three of his last four games.
Now, let’s also look at some players to consider for FanDuel and DraftKings.
Keep in mind that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL).
Auston Matthews (TOR) – C - $7,700 FanDuel, $7,900 DraftKings
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) – C - $5,700 FanDuel, $5,900 DraftKings
Boone Jenner (CBJ) – C - $4,800 FanDuel, $5,600 DraftKings
Blake Wheeler (WPG) – W - $7,800 FanDuel, $7,400 DraftKings
Jonathan Huberdeau (FLA) – W - $6,200 FanDuel, $5,600 DraftKings
Alex Tuch (VGK) – W - $5,400 FanDuel, $6,300 DraftKings
Nick Schmaltz (ARI) – W - $4,300 FanDuel, $3,500 DraftKings
Keith Yandle (FLA) – D - $5,500 FanDuel, $4,800 DraftKings
Oscar Klefbom (EDM) – D - $4,900 FanDuel, $5,800 DraftKings
Tuukka Rask (BOS) – G - $8,400 FanDuel, $8,300 DraftKings
Schmaltz has done well lately with a goal and five points in five games. Of course, he was recently traded to Arizona, but that has worked out for him early on with him recording two points on Thursday.
