NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Friday night has seven games on the schedule.

Alex Ovechkin (WAS) – W - $9,300 FanDuel, $8,800 DraftKings, $35 Yahoo

Ovechkin is expensive, but even by his standards he’s been incredible lately. He has nine goals and 10 points in his last four contests alone. Of course, he’s also having a superb season with 35 goals and 52 points in 50 contests.

Steven Stamkos (TBL) – W - $8,900 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo

Stamkos is on a five-game point streak going into tonight’s action. He has five goals and nine points over that span. Through 47 games this season, Stamkos has scored 22 goals and 53 points.

Leon Draisaitl (EDM) – W - $8,500 FanDuel, $7,000 DraftKings, $31 Yahoo

Draisaitl has recorded at least a point in each of his last nine games. He’s scored five goals and 16 points during that streak. He’s one of the league’s top players with 27 goals and 77 points in 50 games. Only teammate Connor McDavid matches him in terms of points, but McDavid is the more expensive option.

Dylan Larkin (DET) – C - $6,800 FanDuel, $6,600 DraftKings, $20 Yahoo

Larkin has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last 11 games. That gives him four goals and 12 points during that run. He’s up to 13 goals and 36 points in 51 contests this season.

Bargain Bin: Nicklas Backstrom (WAS) - $6,700 FanDuel/$6,400 DraftKings/$25 Yahoo, Sean Couturier (PHI) - $6,700 FanDuel/$5,400 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo, Brady Tkachuk (OTT) - $6,500 FanDuel/$6,100 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Jakub Vrana (WAS) - $5,800 FanDuel/$5,800 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo.

Alex Pietrangelo (STL) - $6,800 FanDuel, $6,500 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

Pietrangelo has recorded at least a point in four of his last six games. He has 13 goals and 42 points in 51 contests in 2019-20. He’s already surpassed his 2018-19 points total of 41 points in 71 games.

Bargain Bin: Shea Theodore (VGK) - $5,400 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Thomas Chabot (OTT) - $5,400 FanDuel/$5,300 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo.

Andrei Vasilevskiy (TBL) - $9,000 FanDuel, $8,400 DraftKings, $38 Yahoo

Vasilevskiy has won 11 of his last 12 games, posting a .942 save percentage over that span. That’s propelled him to a 25-9-3 record, 2.53 GAA, and .918 save percentage in 37 games this season. The Lightning will be facing Anaheim, which ranks near the bottom of the Western Conference basement.

Tuukka Rask (BOS) - $8,600 FanDuel, $7,800 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

This isn’t set in stone yet, but Rask is likely to return to the Bruins’ lineup on Friday. If that’s the case, then Boston will be getting back one of the best goaltenders of the campaign. He has a 17-4-6 record, 2.27 GAA, and .925 save percentage in 28 contests this season.

Bargain Bin: Ilya Samsonov (WAS) - $8,300 FanDuel/$8,000 DraftKings/$37 Yahoo, Petr Mrazek (CAR) - $8,100 FanDuel/$7,900 DraftKings/$30 Yahoo.
