NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Friday night has seven games on tap.

Forwards:

Nathan MacKinnon (COL) – C - $8,900 FanDuel, $8,600 DraftKings, $35 Yahoo

MacKinnon has had highs this season, but he hasn’t really had lows. The last time he was held off the scoresheet for even two consecutive games was Nov. 2-5. He’s scored three goals and 12 points over his last nine games while only being held pointless in one contest over that span. He’s up to 33 goals and 84 points in 59 contests this season.

Leon Draisaitl (EDM) – W - $8,500 FanDuel, $8,400 DraftKings, $32 Yahoo

Draisaitl has been running away with the scoring title lately. He has 34 goals and 95 points in 60 games. That gives him an 11-point edge on David Pastrnak and Nathan MacKinnon, who are tied for second place in the league. Draisaitl has been particularly good lately, scoring five goals and 12 points in his last six games.

Mika Zibanejad (NYR) – C – $8,300 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings, $32 Yahoo

Zibanejad had four points on Wednesday, but that’s just a highlight in what’s been a really good run for him. He’s scored eight goals and 19 points over his last 12 contests. That brings him up to 26 goals and 56 points in 46 games, which is good for second place among Rangers forwards in terms of points.

Artemi Panarin (NYR) – W - $8,100 FanDuel, $7,600 DraftKings, $33 Yahoo

The one player who is ahead of Zibanejad in the Rangers point race is Panarin and he’s slightly cheaper in FanDuel and DraftKings. Panarin has 30 goals and 79 points in 58 contests. He’s not quite as hot as Zibanejad, but Panarin is on a seven-game point streak, scoring three goals and eight points over that span.

Sebastian Aho (CAR) – C - $8,100 FanDuel, $7,500 DraftKings, $28 Yahoo

Aho is entering Friday’s action on a 10-game point streak. He’s also found the back of the net in eight of those 10 contests, giving him 10 markers and 16 points over that span. He’s up to 34 goals and 57 points in 59 games this season.

Bargain Bin: Patrick Kane (CHI) - $8,000 FanDuel/$8,200 DraftKings/$32 Yahoo, Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) - $7,800 FanDuel/$6,700 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo, Patrice Bergeron (BOS) - $7,800 FanDuel/$7,400 DraftKings/$32 Yahoo, Jonathan Toews (CHI) - $7,000 FanDuel/$6,400 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Andrei Svechnikov (CAR) - $6,700 FanDuel/$6,400 DraftKings/$23 Yahoo, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) - $6,600 FanDuel/$7,000 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Matthew Tkachuk (CGY) - $6,200 FanDuel/$6,300 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Pavel Buchnevich (NYR) - $5,500 FanDuel/$4,600 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Defensemen:

Tony DeAngelo (NYR) - $5,400 FanDuel, $4,600 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

DeAngelo has recorded at least a point in five of his last seven games. His second full season has been a huge step forward for him. He’s scored 13 goals and 45 points in 57 contests. That’s amazing offensive production given his relatively low price point.

Bargain Bin: Jaccob Slavin (CAR) - $4,900 FanDuel/$4,900 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Colton Parayko (STL) - $4,400 FanDuel/$5,500 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo

Goaltenders:

Tuukka Rask (BOS) - $9,200 FanDuel, $7,900 DraftKings, $35 Yahoo

Rask is expensive, but he’s worth it. You’d have to go all the way back to December to find the last time Rask has allowed more than two goals in a single game. He’s surrendered just a single goal in each of his last three starts. He’s also just one of the best goaltenders this season with a 23-5-6 record, 2.04 GAA, and .932 save percentage in 35 starts.

Bargain Bin: Petr Mrazek (CAR) - $8,600 FanDuel/$8,000 DraftKings/$26 Yahoo, Pavel Francouz (COL) - $8,100 FanDuel/$8,100 DraftKings/$27 Yahoo, Semyon Varlamov (NYI) - $8,000 FanDuel/$8,400 DraftKings/$32 Yahoo
