NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Monday has six games scheduled.
Nick Suzuki (Montreal) – C - $4,800 FanDuel, $4,400 DraftKings, $17 Yahoo
Suzuki has been quite hot of late with two goals and eight points in his last seven games. Suzuki has 35 points in 57 games this season and is moving up the ranks in rookie scoring. He is seeing top-six minutes and is a nice bargain, especially in FanDuel and Yahoo.
Alex Ovechkin (Washington) – W - $9,400 FanDuel, $8,800 DraftKings, $35 Yahoo
The hottest goal-scorer in the NHL, is tied for the league-lead with Auston Matthews at 40. The Ovie watch is on as he is only two goals shy of 700 for his career and all of a sudden, there is real talk of Ovechkin being able to have a shot at beating Wayne Gretzky’s career total of 894.
Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) – W - $8,300 FanDuel, $8,200 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo
Kucherov has been quite dangerous of late, as the 2018-19 Art Ross Trophy winner has 67 points this season and has multi-point games in eight of his last nine contests. He is a definite must start in DFS Monday.
Bargain Bin: Kevin Hayes (Philadelphia) – C - $5,500 FanDuel/$4,500 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Jonathan Drouin (Montreal) - $3,000 FanDuel/$4,000 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Conor Garland (Arizona) - $4,600 FanDuel/$5,600 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo
Roman Josi (Nashville) - $6,000 FanDuel, $.7,900 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo
Not too many players, never mind defensemen, are as hot as the Nashville defenseman who is easily leading his team in points with 54. Josi has been a stud on the blueline and if not for John Carlson of the Capitals, Josi would be a shoo-in for the Norris Trophy. The 29-year-old picked up his 400th career point this past week, in only his 616th game.
Quinn Hughes (Vancouver) - $4,900 FanDuel, $4,300 DraftKings, $17 Yahoo
If a redraft was done for 2018, there is no way Hughes would last until number seven, as a matter of fact he would definitely be in the top-three. Hughes is having a great rookie season with eight goals and 41 points. He has 19 of his points on the power play and should be in the top-three in voting when it comes time to select the Calder Trophy winner.
Bargain Bin: Zach Werenski (Columbus) - $5,600 FanDuel/$5,800 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo
Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida) - $8,000 FanDuel, $7,200 DraftKings, $27 Yahoo
One of the major disappointments this season, Bobrovsky is 20-15-5 with a 3.27 GAA and a .898 save percentage. The Panthers get the Flyers at home in an important conference game and Bobrovsky needs to return to previous years’ form if Florida is to make the playoffs.
Bargain Bin: David Rittich (Calgary) - $7,400 FanDuel/$ 7,800 DraftKings/$ 27 Yahoo
