NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are six games in the NHL on Monday.

Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton) - C - $8,600 (FanDuel), $7,300 (Draft Kings), $35 (Yahoo)

It’s hard to go wrong with the Art Ross Trophy winner as Draisaitl had 110 points this season. He continued his offensive prowess in the opener with a three-point game. The Oilers have a high-octane offense and Draisaitl is at least the co-pilot with Connor McDavid.

Patrick Kane (Chicago) - W - $8,200 (FanDuel), $7,100 (DraftKings), $32 (Yahoo)

Kane finished the season with 84 points in 70 games after a 110-point performance in 2018-19 which was good enough for third in the NHL scoring race. He had an assist Saturday and will be looking for plenty more Sunday in what should be the highest scoring series of all in the qualifying round.

Brendan Gallagher (Montreal) - W - $7,200 (FanDuel), $5,900 (DraftKings), $21(Yahoo)

After a couple of 30-plus goal seasons, Gallagher dropped to 22 this season but only played 59 games due to injuries. He picked up an assist Saturday against the Pens and will look to do more damage Monday as the Canadiens attempt to take a 2-0 series lead.

Bargain Bin:  Phillip Danault (Montreal) - C - $5,300 (FanDuel), $3,900 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo), Elias Lindholm (Calgary) - W - $5,500 (FanDuel), $4,800 (DraftKings), Nikolaj Ehlers (Winnipeg) – W - $5,600 (FanDuel) $4,400 (DraftKings)

Alec Martinez (Vegas) - $4,000 (FanDuel), $4,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Martinez was dealt to the Golden Knights just before the trade deadline and made the most of the deal as he had eight points in only 10 games including two points on the power play. Coach Peter DeBoer must love him.

Jeff Petry (Montreal) - $4,400 (FanDuel), $4,300 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Petry picked up the game-winner in overtime Saturday to give the Canadiens the victory and his 11 goals and 40 points in the regular season were solid. He has been an offensive force the last three seasons after doing little in his first seven seasons in the NHL.

Bargain Bin:

Oscar Klefbom (Edmonton) - $5,600 (FanDuel), $6,800 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Shea Theodore (Vegas) - $5,900 (FanDuel), $6,300 (Draft Kings), $21 (Yahoo)

Ben Bishop (Dallas) - $8,600 (FanDuel), $7,400 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)

The Stars play a great defensive game and the star of the show is usually Ben Bishop. He had a 1.98 GAA in 2018-19 and followed it up with a 2.50 GAA in 2019-20. The Stars have played playoff-type hockey all season and it bodes well in Game 1 Monday.

Other plays:  David Rittich (Calgary) - $7,600 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings)
