Updated On: October 26, 2019, 10:30 am ET

NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are nine games scheduled on Saturday, but one is a 1:00 pm ET contest, so we’ll be ignoring that one.

Jake Guentzel (PIT) – W - $7,500 FanDuel, $7,300 DraftKings, $25 Yahoo

Guentzel has only been held off the scoresheet twice all season. He has six goals and 11 points in 11 contests in 2019-20. He broke out in 2018-19 with 76 points and everything is pointing to that being no fluke.

Travis Konecny (PHI) – W - $6,500 FanDuel, $6,800 DraftKings, $20 Yahoo

Konecny is on a three-game point streak and he has only been held off the scoresheet once all season.  He’s up to four goals and 11 points in eight games this season. After setting a career-high of 49 points in 2018-19, this might be a breakout campaign for him.

Brayden Schenn (STL) – C - $6,400 FanDuel, $6,400 DraftKings, $19 Yahoo

Schenn has found the back of the net three times in his last two games alone. That’s brought him up to eight goals and 11 points in 10 contests. That pace is unsustainable, as evidence by his ridiculously high 34.8 shooting percentage, but you might as well stick with him while he’s hot.

Nazem Kadri (COL) – C - $5,100 FanDuel, $4,500 DraftKings, $18 Yahoo

Kadri got off to something of a slow start with Colorado, but he’s starting to heat up. He has scored three goals over his last three contests.  That gives him five goals and seven points in 10 contests this season.

Bargain Bin: David Pastrnak (BOS) - $8,800 FanDuel/$8,300 DraftKings/$30 Yahoo, Brad Marchand (BOS) - $8,500 FanDuel/$7,200 DraftKings/$31 Yahoo, Anze Kopitar (LAK) - $7,700 FanDuel/$6,200 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo, Brendan Gallagher (MON) - $7,200 FanDuel/$7,400 DraftKings/$22 Yahoo, Max Domi (MON) - $6,500 FanDuel/$6,300 DraftKings/$21 Yahoo, Nikolaj Ehlers (WPG) - $5,600 FanDuel/$6,200 DraftKings/$17 Yahoo, Oskar Lindblom (PHI) - $4,800 FanDuel/$5,200 DraftKings/$16 Yahoo

Roman Josi (NSH) - $6,700 FanDuel, $6,500 DraftKings, $24 Yahoo

Josi has recorded at least 49 points in each of his last five seasons and he’s well on his way to continuing that trend in 2019-20.  He already has four goals and 10 points in 10 games. He’s also been hot lately with his three-game point streak.

Victor Hedman (TBL) - $6,200 FanDuel, $5,800 DraftKings, $23 Yahoo

Hedman is riding a four-game point streak. He’s up to two goals and eight points in nine games in 2019-20.

Bargain Bin: Kris Letang (PIT) - $6,600 FanDuel/$6,700 DraftKings/$25 Yahoo, Morgan Rielly (TOR) - $6,300 FanDuel/$6,300 DraftKings/$25 Yahoo, Kevin Shattenkirk (TBL) - $5,400 FanDuel/$5,300 DraftKings/$18 Yahoo, Ryan Ellis (NSH) - $5,200 FanDuel/$5,500 DraftKings/$20 Yahoo

Carey Price (MON) - $8,400 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo

This is a gamble to be sure. Price has been a mixed bag this season with a 4-3-1 record, 2.85 GAA, and .903 save percentage, so while he comes relatively cheap for a goaltender, there is a reason for that.  However, Toronto is in the second half of a back-to-back and the Maple Leafs have been very bad in that scenario this season. Toronto has already participated in three other back-to-backs this season and lost the second half of all those games. That’s in part because backup goaltender Michael Hutchinson leaves much to be desired.

Pavel Francouz (COL) - $7,600 FanDuel, $8,100 DraftKings, $29 Yahoo

If you’re playing in FanDuel, you might want to consider Francouz over Price. Otherwise, Price is the better play. Francouz has a 1.95 GAA and .951 save percentage in two contests this season. The 29-year-old backup has been used sparingly, but he’s an interesting option because of his initial success in the NHL and his superb play in the KHL.

Bargain Bin: Ben Bishop (DAL) - $8,500 FanDuel/$7,900 DraftKings/$29 Yahoo, John Gibson (ANA) - $8,200 FanDuel/$7,100 DraftKings/$32 Yahoo, Jordan Binnington (STL) - $8,100 FanDuel/$7,500 DraftKings/$33 Yahoo
