Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are 11 games in the NHL on Sunday.
Connor McDavid (Edmonton) - C - $8,700 (FanDuel), $8,400 (Draft Kings), $35 (Yahoo)
McDavid is off to a tough start (at least for him) as he has four goals and seven points in six games. That looks pretty good but McDavid had one outstanding game against Vancouver with the hat trick plus one assist but has had three games of one point and two games where he has been held off the scoresheet. He does have 28 shots on goal this season and could be ready to break loose once again with the Oilers in Winnipeg Sunday.
Mika Zibanejad (New York Rangers) – C - $7,400 (FanDuel), $7,300 (Draft Kings), $31 (Yahoo)
Zibanejad is also off to a slow start but this one is real as he has only two points in four games. A lack of training camp could be a big reason as he was sidelined after a positive COVID-19 test. The Rangers rely heavily on the Swedish center as he is on the first power play and plays with Chris Kreider and rookie Alexis Lafreniere.
Mikko Rantanen (Colorado) - W - $7,900 (FanDuel), $7,400 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)
Rantanen suffered through a couple of injuries last season and managed to play only 42 games. He still had 41 points as he has averaged over a point-a-game in his last three seasons and is off to a good start this season with four goals and six points in five games including a current four-game goal scoring streak. He plays with Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog and if you can afford to take the whole line in DFS, do so.
Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg) - W - $6,700 (FanDuel), $6,900 (DraftKings), $24 (Yahoo)
After what appeared to be an off-year when he had 65 points in 71 games after back-to-back 91-point campaigns, Wheeler is off to a good start with two goals and five assists in five games. Wheeler had three assists Saturday in a win over Ottawa. He plays with Mark Scheifele and the talented Kyle Connor which is one of the best lines in the NHL.
Alex DeBrincat (Chicago) -W- $6,300 (Fan Duel). $6,500 (Draft Kings), $18 (Yahoo)
DeBrincat had a poor season in 2019-20 with only 45 points in 70 games after a 76-point campaign as a sophomore including 41 goals. He seems to be back on track with five points in five games and is a good value play, especially in FanDuel and Yahoo.
Bargain Bin: Jack Hughes (New Jersey) - C - $4,900 (FanDuel), $5,400 (Draft Kings), $15 (Yahoo), Nick Bjugstad (Minnesota) - C - $3,700 (FanDuel), $3,100 (DraftKings), (Yahoo) Anthony Mantha (Detroit) – W - $6,100 (FanDuel) $4,900 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Mike Hoffman (St. Louis) – W - $5,500 (FanDuel), $4,100 (Draft Kings), $21 (Yahoo)
Shea Theodore (Vegas) - $6,300 (FanDuel), $6,600 (DraftKings), $24 (Yahoo)
There are not too many players hotter than Theodore at this time. Theodore has three goals and an assist in his last two games and has six points in five games to date. He has been held off the scoresheet only once this season and is quarterbacking the Golden Knights second power play with Alex Pietrangelo handling the job with the first unit.
John Klingberg (Dallas) - $5,400 (FanDuel), $5,500 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)
Klingberg did not have a good regular season in 2019-20 with only 32 points in 58 games but was outstanding in the playoffs, scoring four times and adding 17 assists in 26 games despite injuring his shoulder in a round-robin game. He started this season strong on Friday with a trio of assists in the Stars first game of the season.
Erik Karlsson (San Jose) - $5,200 (Fan Duel), $5,100 (Draft Kings), $16 (Yahoo)
Karlsson has only two points in five games this season with a minus-eight rating but he has been great his whole career, even the last two injury-riddled seasons with San Jose as he has 85 points in 109 contests heading into this season. He is a hunch bet but worth taking at his price in DFS.
Rasmus Ristolainen (Buffalo) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Rasmus Andersson (Calgary) $4,800 (FanDuel), $5,200 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo), Devon Toews (Colorado) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $5,700 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo)
Philipp Grubauer (Colorado) - $8,400 (FanDuel), $8,400 (DraftKings), $37 (Yahoo)
Grubauer will continue to see most of the action and likely a little more than usual with Pavel Francouz out of action. Grubauer is 3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and a .931 save percentage and that includes a tough start against the Blues in the opener when he gave up four goals on 32 shots. The Avs are in Anaheim today and should prevail.
Kaapo Kahkonen (Minnesota) - $8,200 (FanDuel), $7,900 (Draft Kings), $22 (Yahoo)
Cam Talbot is out of action with a lower-body injury and Alex Stalock has yet to play as well, so that leaves the goaltending duties to Kahkonen who has been strong in his one-plus start. He is 2-0 with a 1.20 GAA and a .951 save percentage (absolutely sparkling numbers) and is expected to face the Sharks on Sunday after stopping all 17 of their shots over two periods Friday when he replaced Talbot after one period.
