NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Forwards:

David Pastrnak (Boston) - W - 8,800 (FanDuel), $7,600 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo)

Pastrnak is riding an eight-game point streak going into Thursday night’s action.  He has generated three goals and 10 assists during that span along with 32 shots on target.  Additionally, Pastrnak has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 11 career matches versus Columbus.

Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida) - W - $7,700 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $28 (Yahoo)

Huberdeau’s six-game point was snapped on Tuesday, but he should get back on the scoresheet on Thursday.  He has amassed seven goals and 22 points in 25 career meetings against Ottawa.  That includes four assists on Dec.16, which kick-started his previous point spree.

Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg) - C - $7,300 (FanDuel), $7,000 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo)

Scheifele was red hot in December with nine goals and 20 points in 13 contests.  He has nine goals and seven helpers in 12 career contests against Toronto.  Scheifele scored a goal in each of his two outings versus the Leafs last season.

Bryan Rust (Pittsburgh) - W - $6,100 (FanDuel), $6,300 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Rust has compiled seven goals and 15 points over his last nine appearances.  He has been clicking with Evgeni Malkin on Pittsburgh’s top line.  They will be joined by Alex Galchenyuk on Thursday night.  The trio has plenty of stack appeal versus the San Jose Sharks.

David Perron (St. Louis) - W - $6,600 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Perron’s six-game point streak came to end on Tuesday, but he should be able to get back on track on Thursday night.  He started that point streak with a hat trick against Colorado and he has four goals in two outings versus the Avalanche this campaign.

William Nylander (Toronto) - W - $6,300 (FanDuel), $5,700 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Nylander has heated up with six goals and 12 points in his past seven matches.  He has lit the lamp in each of the last four games, while adding four assists and 13 shots on target.  Nylander also has three goals and five points in four career contests versus Winnipeg.

Bargain Bin: Ryan Strome (NYR) - C - $6,200 (FanDuel)/$4,600 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) - C - $5,500 (FanDuel)/$4,500 (DraftKings)/$15 (Yahoo), Alex Killorn (TB) - W- $5,400 (FanDuel)/$5,600 (DraftKings)/$20 (Yahoo), Nikita Gusev (NJ) - W - $4,400 (FanDuel)/$3,300 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - D - $6,600 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Hedman racked up five goals and 15 points over 14 games in December.  He was quiet against Buffalo on Tuesday, but he has excelled versus Montreal this season.  Hedman has five assists and four shots in his previous two appearances against the Canadiens in 2019-20.  He has accumulated six goals and 34 points in 35 career matches versus Montreal.

Zach Werenski (Columbus) - D - $5,500 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $22 (Yahoo)

Werenski registered the first hat trick of his career on Tuesday night.  He has supplied five goals, two assists and 20 shots in seven outings since returning from a shoulder injury.  Werenski also has one goal, 28 shots and six points in nine career games against Boston.

Bargain Bin: Tyson Barrie (TOR) - $5,100 (FanDuel)/$5,300 (DraftKings)/$22 (Yahoo), Cale Makar (COL) - $5,500 (FanDuel)/$5,500 (DraftKings)/$24 (Yahoo), Keith Yandle (FLA) - $5,300 (FanDuel)/$5,100 (DraftKings)/$20 (Yahoo), Sami Vatanen (NJ) - $4,900 (FanDuel)/$4,500 (DraftKings)/$20 (Yahoo), Tony DeAngelo (NYR) - $4,700 (FanDuel)/$4,300 (DraftKings)/$19 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Tristan Jarry (Pittsburgh) - G - $8,800 (FanDuel), $8,500 (DraftKings), $41 (Yahoo)

Jarry has posted a 6-0-0 record in his last six starts, while posting a .939 save percentage and one shutout.  Pittsburgh will host the struggling San Jose Sharks on Thursday night, which will be a good opportunity for him to continue his dominant play at home.  Jarry has a mark of 9-2-0 with a 1.52 goals-against average, a .948 save percentage and three shutouts at PPG Paints Arena in 2019-20.

Antti Raanta (Arizona) - G - $7,800 (FanDuel), $8,300 (DraftKings), $33 (Yahoo)

Raanta is coming off a superb performance on Tuesday in which he cooled off the red hot St. Louis Blues with 38 saves in a 3-1 victory.  He had a 1-1-0 record versus Anaheim last year with a 1.45 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.

Bargain Bin: Robin Lehner (CHI) - $8,000 (FanDuel)/$7,200 (DraftKings)/$27 (Yahoo), Thomas Greiss (NYI) - $7,500 (FanDuel)/$29 (Yahoo), Mikko Koskinen (EDM) - $7,900 (FanDuel)/$7,500 (DraftKings)/$30 (Yahoo)
