NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out Rotoworld's Player News, and follow @Rotoworld_ HK and @CoreAbbott on Twitter.

Thursday has six games on the schedule.

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay) - C - $8,000 (FanDuel), $7,400 (DraftKings), $31 (Yahoo)

Point has one goal, two assists and nine shots on target in two games to start the 2020-21 season. He also plenty of past success against Columbus, which gives him plenty of upside on Thursday night. Point has racked seven goals and eight helpers in nine previous contests versus the Blue Jackets during regular-season play. You can also go with Point's linemate, Steven Stamkos, in this spot, but he does come with a higher salary.

Mikko Rantanen (Colorado) - W - $7,800 (FanDuel), $7,500 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)

Rantanen has lit the lamp in each of the last two games and he has added an assist along with seven shots on target during that span. He had one goal on three shots in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory against Los Angeles. Ranatan has amassed five goals and 11 points in 12 career contests against the Kings.

Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg) - W - $6,600 (FanDuel), $6,000 (DraftKings), C- $23 (Yahoo)

Wheeler notched one goal, one assist and five shots in Tuesday’s 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa. He will get another crack at the Senators on Thursday night and could be starting to heat up following a sluggish start.

Jack Hughes (New Jersey) - C - $5,100 (FanDuel), $5,200 (DraftKings), W- $16 (Yahoo)

Hughes doesn’t have an easy matchup against the stingy Islanders, but he has had an impressive start to the season and checks in with very good salaries across the board. He has two goals and six points over a three-game point streak. Hughes has two multi-point performances and seven shots on goal during that span.

Bargain Bin: Tyler Toffoli (MTL) - W - $4,900 (FanDuel), $3,900 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Ondrej Palat (TB) - $5,600 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo), Nikolaj Ehlers (WPG) - $5,800 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Miles Wood (NJ) - $4,000 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Oskar Lindblom (PHI) - $3,800 (FanDuel), $3,000 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Samuel Girard (Colorado) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Colorado has three blueliners who are off to strong starts this season with Girard, Cale Makar and Devon Toews. Girard gets the nod here because he has as many power-play points (three) as Makar and double the amount of shots on goal (10). He has picked up at least one assist in each of the first three games for the Avalanche.

Bargain Bin: Quinn Hughes (VAN) - $5,500 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Alexander Romanov (MTL) - $4,300 (FanDuel), $4,300 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Devon Toews (COL) - $4,300 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Josh Morrissey (WPG) - $4,300 (FanDuel), $4,600 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo)

Carter Hart (Philadelphia) - $8,600 (FanDuel), $7,700 (DraftKings), $38 (Yahoo)

Hart checks in with a absurdly good salary on DraftKings, but he will cost more cap space on FanDuel and Yahoo. He has plenty of bounce-back appeal after a clunker of a performance against Buffalo on Monday. Boston has averaged a league-low 1.00 goals for per game this season. Hart has also played well against the Bruins in the past with a 4-1-0 record, a 2.71 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.

Bargain Bin: Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) - $8,400 (FanDuel), $7,600 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo), Jaken Allen (MTL) - $8,300 (FanDuel), $ (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo), Mackenzie Blackwood (NJ) - $7,000 (FanDuel), $7,300 (DraftKings), $33 (Yahoo), Thatcher Demko (VAN) - $7,200 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)
