NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Forwards:

Evgeni Malkin (Pittsburgh) - C - $7,700 (FanDuel), $6,900 (DraftKings), $32 (Yahoo)

Malkin will look to bounce back after a quiet night on Saturday in a shutout loss to San Jose.  He had three goals and two assists during a three-game point streak prior to going two matches without a point.  Malkin had two goals, one assist and five shots in a 5-2 win over Ottawa on Dec. 30 to give him 23 markers and 45 points in 39 career contests against the Senators.  He also has 13 goals and 31 points in 23 matches on home ice this season.

Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg) - C - $7,200 (FanDuel), $6,100 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)

Scheifele’s six-game point streak came to an end on Saturday, but he’s a strong option to get back on the scoresheet on Tuesday night.  He has five goals and 11 points in seven games going into Winnipeg’s match against Buffalo.  Scheifele has five markers and 11 points in 10 contests versus the Sabres in his career.

William Nylander (Toronto) - W - $6,400 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Nylander has 10 goals and 19 points in 19 outings entering Tuesday night’s action.  His five-game point streak was snapped on Saturday, but a return to the scoresheet should be in the cards for him versus San Jose.  Nylander has six assists and 11 shots in five career matches against the Sharks.

Kevin Fiala (Minnesota) - W - $5,900 (FanDuel), $6,300 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Fiala has scored a goal in each of his last four matches, while adding five assists during that span.  He has compiled 11 goals and 21 points in his past 14 appearances to give him a personal best and team-high 49 points in 60 games.  Fiala has two goals and nine shots in four previous matches against his former Nashville teammates.

Dominik Kubalik (Chicago) - W - $5,800 (FanDuel), $6,000 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Kubalik has accounted for seven goals and 11 points in eight games going into Tuesday night’s slate.  The rookie forward is up to 29 goals this season.  Kubalik has two goals, one assist and six shots in his previous two meetings with Anaheim this season.

Max Domi (Montreal) - C - $5,100 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Domi has heated up and makes for a solid bang for the buck option for Tuesday night’s schedule.  He has produced four goals and three helpers over a five-game point streak.

Bargain Bin: Robert Thomas (STL) - C - $4,500 (FanDuel)/$3,700 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Pavel Buchnevich (NYR) - W - $5,300 (FanDuel)/$4,200 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Kailer Yamamoto (EDM) - W - $4,800 (FanDuel)/$5,400 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo) Reilly Smith (VGK) - $5,300 (FanDuel)/$5,900 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Bryan Rust (PIT) - W - $4,900 (FanDuel), Denis Gurianov (DAL) - W - $4,300 (FanDuel)/$3,300 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Tyler Johnson (TB) - C - $4,200 (FanDuel)/$3,500 (DraftKings)/$14 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Shea Theodore (Vegas) - D - $5,900 (FanDuel), $6,500 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Theodore has racked up five goals and 13 assists in the last 19 games.  That includes three markers and five points in six matches going into Tuesday night’s action.

Neal Pionk (Winnipeg) - D - $4,600 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Pionk has collected 10 points, including nine helpers, in the past 12 matches.  He has been credited with 45 shots during that span.  Pionk leads the Jets with 24 power-play points this season and Buffalo ranks last in the league in penalty kill percentage.

Bargain Bin: John Klingberg (DAL) - $5,600 (FanDuel)/$4,200 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Mikhail Sergachev (TB) - $4,400 (FanDuel)/$4,500 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Charlie McAvoy (BOS) - $5,000 (FanDuel)/$4,300 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo),

Goaltenders:

Tristan Jarry (Pittsburgh) - G - $8,200 (FanDuel), $8,500 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Jarry has lost his last three outings, but he has plenty of bounce-back potential on Tuesday night against Ottawa.  He stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 5-2 win over the Senators back on Dec. 30.  Jarry has also been superb on home ice this season with a mark of 13-4-1, a 2.05 goals-against average and .932 save percentage, while Ottawa has struggled on the road in 2019-20 with a record of 6-18-6.

Carey Price (Montreal) - G - $8,000 (FanDuel), $7,500 (DraftKings), $36 (Yahoo)

Price has good price tags and a winnable matchup against the struggling Islanders.  New York has gone 2-5-2 over their past nine games, while scoring two goals or fewer six times over that span.  Price blocked 21 of 23 shots in a 4-2 win against the Islanders back on Dec. 3.

Bargain Bin: Alex Stalock (MIN) - $8,000 (FanDuel)/$7,800 (DraftKings)/$ (Yahoo), Jack Campbell (TOR) -  $8,000 (FanDuel)/$8,000 (DraftKings)/$31 (Yahoo), Corey Crawford (CHI) - $7,800 (FanDuel)/$8,200 (DraftKings)/$29(Yahoo)
