Wednesday night has four games on tap.
Connor McDavid (Edmonton) - C - $9,000 (FanDuel), $8,200 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo)
For such a small slate, there are plenty of high-priced, high-ceiling players available for Wednesday night. McDavid has been a scoring tear with 13 goals and 28 points over his past 14 contests. He has been held off the scoresheet only once during that span, while recoding eight multi-point performances. Additionally, McDavid has four goals and 12 points over eight career meetings versus Ottawa.
Mikko Rantanen (Colorado) - W - $7,600 (FanDuel), $7,400 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)
Rantanen returned with a bang last Saturday when he generated one goal and three assists following a 16-game absence. Colorado has been taking it easy with him, but he should be able to ramp it up again soon and Wednesday’s game could be a good place to start. Rantanen and the Avalanche will be a rested squad against a Toronto team that played the night before at Philadelphia and the team’s power play may take advantage.
Evgeny Kuznetsov (Washington) - C - $7,800 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo)
Kuznetsov has been red hot with six goals and 13 assists in the last 14 games. He has been held off the scoresheet on just three occasions over that stretch. Even if Nicklas Backstrom is available to return, Kuznetsov and the Capitals’ offense have value against Los Angeles on Wednesday night. Washington’s power play will be highly regarded versus the 28th-ranked penalty kill of the Kings.
Bargain Bin: Jaden Schwartz (STL) - W - $5,400 (FanDuel)/$5,000 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Nazem Kadri (COL) - C - $5,200 (FanDuel)/$5,300 (DraftKings)/$18 (Yahoo), Kasperi Kapanen (TOR) - W - $4,700 (FanDuel)/$3,800 (DraftKings)/$16 (Yahoo)
Kris Letang (Pittsburgh) - $6,800 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)
Letang has three goals, one assist and 16 shots during a three-game point streak going into Wednesday night’s action. He has found the back of the net in each outing during that span, which includes a one-goal, four-shot effort versus St. Louis this past Saturday. Letang has four points (one goal, three assists) in his last two matches versus the Blues.
Bargain Bin: Tyson Barrie (TOR) - $5,000 (FanDuel)/$4,800 (DraftKings)/$19 (Yahoo)
Ilya Samsonov (Washington) - $7,500 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $28 (Yahoo)
Samsonov has a fairly good price across the board and he has a good matchup against Los Angeles if he gets the nod. He’s coming off a win over Detroit on Saturday when he stopped 25 of 27 shots. Samsonov owns a 6-2-1 record this campaign with a 2.58 goals-against average and .914 save percentage, which is impressive. He’s been even better on the road with a mark of 4-0-0, a 2.22 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.
Bargain Bin: Philipp Grubauer (COL) - $7,700 (FanDuel)/$7,400 (DraftKings)/$26 (Yahoo)
