NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) - W - $8,300 (FanDuel), $8,400 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Kucherov has five goals and two assists during a four-game point streak going into Wednesday night’s action.  He has earned a multi-point effort in each of the last three matches.  Kucherov scored a goal and had five shots against Los Angeles on Jan. 14 to start his current point spree.  He has six goals and seven assists in his last seven outings versus the Kings.

Bo Horvat (Vancouver) - C - $5,900 (FanDuel), $5,900 (DraftKings), $21 (Yahoo)

Horvat has amassed eight goals and 16 points in the past 13 games, including seven markers and six assists in 10 matches this month.  He also has two goals and one helper during a three-game point streak.  Additionally, Horvat has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last seven appearances versus San Jose.  That includes one goal and three helpers in three matches this season.

Jakub Vrana (Washington) - W - $5,800 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $22 (Yahoo)

Vrana has tallied eight goals and three assists during a nine-game point streak this month.  He has produced one goal and two helpers in five career contests versus Nashville.  Vrana, who is having a career year offensively, has plenty of bang for the buck upside going into Wednesday’s slate.

Bargain Bin: Jake Virtanen (VAN) - W - $3,900 (FanDuel)/$4,100 (DraftKings)/$19 (Yahoo), Christian Dvorak (ARI) - C - $4,200 (FanDuel)/$4,500 (DraftKings)/$16 (Yahoo), Kailer Yamamoto (EDM) - W - $3,600 (FanDuel)/$3,500 (DraftKings)/$10 (Yahoo)

John Carlson (Washington) - D - $7,000 (FanDuel), $6,900 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)

Carlson’s four-game point streak was snapped on Monday night, but has racked up 10 assists in eight matches this month.  He also has 22 shots on goal during that span.  Carlson picked up three helpers against Nashville back on Oct. 10 and he has 13 assists in 15 career outings versus the Predators.

Bargain Bin: Tyson Barrie (Toronto) - $5,200 (FanDuel)/$5,200 (DraftKings)/$17 (Yahoo), Rasmus Sandin (TOR) - $3,700 (FanDuel)/$3,100 (DraftKings)/$15 (Yahoo), Quinn Hughes (VAN) - $4,000 (FanDuel)/$4,900 (DraftKings)/$14 (Yahoo)

Braden Holtby (Washington) - G - $8,100 (FanDuel), $8,100 (DraftKings). $23 (Yahoo)

Holtby and the red-hot Capitals will host the struggling Predators on Wednesday night.  He’s the most expensive netminder on DraftKings, but he checks in at solid prices on FanDuel and Yahoo.  Holtby is coming off a strong 33-save performance in a 4-2 win over Montreal on Monday night.  He needs another good outing on Wednesday with rookie goalie Ilya Samsonov breathing down his neck for starts.

Bargain Bin: David Rittich (CGY) - $7,600 (FanDuel)/$7,700 (DraftKings)/$26 (Yahoo), Jacob Markstrom (VAN) - $7,600 (FanDuel)/$7,200 (DraftKings)/$36 (Yahoo)
