NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).
Wednesday night has five games on tap.

Anze Kopitar (Los Angeles) - C - $7,600 (FanDuel), $6,100 (DraftKings), $25 (Yahoo)
Kopitar has two goals and seven assists during a five-game point streak. He has six power-play points over that span, including a pair of helpers on the man advantage in Monday’s overtime loss to Anaheim. Los Angeles ranks seventh in the league in power-play percentage and Kopitar sits second in the NHL with 18 power-play points.
Rickard Rakell (Anaheim) - W - $6,400 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)
Rakell has been red hot with five goals and seven assists across a six-game point spree. He has 22 shots and two power-play helpers during that stretch. He is coming off a two-goal, three-point effort versus Los Angeles on Monday.
Kailer Yamamoto (Edmonton) - $4,700 (FanDuel), $4,800 (DraftKings), $14 (Yahoo)
Yamamoto has two goals, one assist and three shots in the past two games. He has been skating on a stacked Edmonton top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. That gives him plenty of bang for the buck upside as well as great stack potential with either or both of the Oilers’ top-two forwards.

Darnell Nurse (Edmonton) - $5,100 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $22 (Yahoo)
Nurse ended his six-game pointless skid on Monday versus Ottawa. He filled the stat sheet with an assist, two hits and four blocks. He has three goals, one assist and 16 shots in five outings versus the Senators this year. Nurse will fit much better into rosters on FanDuel and Yahoo, but you will have to spend up for him on DraftKings.
Bargain Bin: Quinn Hughes (VAN) - $5,000 (FanDuel), $5,200 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo), Samuel Girard (COL) - $5,300 (FanDuel), $5,100 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Jakob Chychrun (ARI) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Kevin Shattenkirk (ANH) - $3,900 (FanDuel), $3,400 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Jonas Brodin (MIN) - $4,100 (FanDuel), $4,800 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)
Thatcher Demko (Vancouver) - $7,000 (FanDuel), $7,300 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)
Demko has posted a 4-0-0 record with a .969 save percentage and one shutout in his past four starts. He has stopped 124 of 128 shots during that span. That includes a 29-save performance in Monday’s 2-1 shootout win over Montreal. Demko has plenty of bang for the buck potential in Wednesday’s rematch versus the Canadiens.
