Christopher Crawford had Joey Votto at 15. The composite ranking was 20.
Sometimes, it's hard to quit a player, but I still think there's more reason for optimism for Votto; relative optimism, anyway. Yes, it's been two years with a slugging percentage below .420, and he's hit just 27 total homers over the last two years. There's still a chance that he hits for average, you know he's going to get more than his fair share of walks, and in that Cincinnati lineup, he should still have a chance to drive in runs. He's no longer anywhere close to an elite option, but if you give me the choice between him and a player like Luke Voit or Yuli Gurriel, I'll take Votto in the hopes that he bounces back to that top 10 at his position.
