Today, we'll be giving you a look at the guide's exclusive positional outlier column series with the below excerpt from the 3B Outliers.

Take a look:

3B Outliers

Drew Silva had Eugenio Suárez at 7. The composite ranking was 11.375.

To be completely honest and transparent with our Rotoworld readership, I submitted my third base rankings before it started to become more clear that Suarez will likely not be ready for the beginning of the 2020 regular season following January surgery to repair loose cartilage in his right shoulder. He is swinging a bat now in Reds camp, though, so maybe there’s a chance. And he also began light throwing workouts in late February. The 28-year-old was a beast in 2019, posting career highs in OPS (.930), home runs (49), and RBI (103) for a Cincinnati club that added the likes of Nick CastellanosMike Moustakas, and Shogo Akiyama to its offensive attack this winter. If he can make a full and fast recovery from the shoulder procedure, Suarez could be even more beastly in 2020 given the improved supporting cast. He does not offer much potential for stolen bases, but very few names at third base do, and his power potential at homer-happy Great American Ball Park more than makes up for it. Suarez will go down as a steal in fantasy drafts this spring if the shoulder issue proves to be a minor blip. – Drew Silva (@drewsilv)
