Monday is a rare dark night in the NHL and since it is Halloween, we’ll come up with 30 scary (both bad and good) thoughts on this scariest of nights.

Anaheim – What if Andrew Cogliano still leads the Ducks in goals at the end of the season?

Arizona – Alex Goligoski continues to average a minus-one per game.

BostonTuukka Rask continues to play like he did in 2012-13 and 2013-14. (That’s a scary good thing)

Buffalo - Can Evander Kane ever return to his form of 2011-12?

Calgary – Which goalie is Brian Elliott? Dr. Jekyll (the last four games) or Mr. Hyde (the first three games of the season)?

Carolina – Will Elias Lindholm ever score?

Chicago- Are Artem Anisimov and Richard Panik really leading the Blackhawks in goals?

Colorado – Is Calvin Pickard the best goalie for Colorado?

Columbus – Is it hard to believe that Zach Werenski is this good?

Dallas – Are the Stars really going to rely on Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen the whole season?

Detroit –  Henrik Zetterberg has only four assists in 10 games. Is he done as an elite forward?

Edmonton – What happens if Connor McDavid ever gets hurt again?

Florida – Is Jonathan Marchessault the Panthers best scorer? And by so much?

Los Angeles – What if the Kings decide that Jonathan Quick needs surgery?

Minnesota – Has Eric Staal regained his effectiveness?

Montreal – What happens if the Habs don’t trade for Shea Weber?

Nashville – What happens if the Predators don’t trade Shea Weber?

New Jersey – What if Cory Schneider is injured for any length of time?

New York Islanders – Can the ice surface at Barclays ever be good?

New York Rangers – Is Rick Nash the player he was two years ago and not last season?

Ottawa – We just wish the best for the wife of Craig Anderson.

Philadelphia – Can Radko Gudas go the whole season without a penalty? Can he go one more game or period?

Pittsburgh – What if Sidney Crosby is concussed again?

St. Louis – Can Kevin Shattenkirk remain a Blue all season? What will be the return if he is not?

San Jose – Can Joe Pavelski win the Art Ross Trophy?

Tampa Bay – Is Ondrej Palat really a minus-eight this season after seasons of plus-32, plus-31 and plus-10?

Toronto – Are the Maple Leafs going to be a team to fear in three seasons?

Vancouver – Will Loui Eriksson ever score into the opponent's net?

Washington – Does John Carlson really only have one point in eight games this season, the least of any Capitals blueliner?

Winnipeg – When will the Jets actually hand over the reins in goal to Connor Hellebuyck on a full time basis?

And a 31st thought as it was Halloween. . .Is the NHL going to go or not going to go to the 2018 Olympics in South Korea?
