Betting Trend to Know

The Clippers are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games following a loss. Find more NBA betting trends for Nuggets vs. Clippers.

Against the spread pick

The above stat is a big one – not only because Los Angeles has looked good in rebounding from losses, but because those wins have come by an average of more than 20 points. And with Kawhi Leonard being held to 13 points on 4-of-17 shooting in Game 2, you know he's going to come out looking for redemption.

It's also worth noting that the Clippers still managed to finish within single digits Saturday despite struggling mightily from 3-point range and turning the ball over 17 times. They'll need to win by 10 or more themselves to convert the cover in Game 3, but even if Jokic suits up for Denver, it's hard to reconcile fading Los Angeles given just how well it has rebounded after a loss.

PREDICTION: Clippers -9 (-110)

Over/Under pick

The total for Monday's game sits at 219, a number the teams have yet to reach in the series. And that has become a trend for these teams, with five of their previous seven meetings falling below the total.

Jokic's status obviously means a lot here, but we'll work under the assumption that he's playing since he was able to finish the game. These teams don't have far to go to get to the Over; Leonard and Paul George almost certainly won't shoot a combined 11-for-36 again in Game 2, and it's a good bet the teams will fare better than 24-of-72 from 3-point range.

This one could be a sweat given how the first two games went, but the Over looks like the stronger play here (though we're decidedly less confident if Jokic is out.)

PREDICTION: Over 219 (-110)

First-quarter prop pick

Everything went south for the Clippers right from the start in Game 2, as they were outscored by a 44-25 margin in the opening quarter. That won't happen again Monday; Los Angeles has a +0.8 scoring margin in the first quarter so far this season, while the Nuggets are at -0.4 even with Saturday's 19-point first-quarter advantage.

Count on the Clippers' bounce-back including a first-quarter cover.

PREDICTION: Clippers -2.5 1st Quarter ML (-115)
