Jim Herman defies 600-to-1 odds to win Wyndham

Imagine turning two dollars into 1,200 dollars.

That's what one customer at the Westgate SuperBook did by placing a bet on golfer Jim Herman to win the Wyndham Championship at 600-to-1.

Herman shot an unbelievable 61 on Saturday and followed it up with a 63 on Sunday to edge Billy Horschel at Sedgefield Country Club.

“Goodness gracious," Herman said afterwards. "Obviously, you don’t expect 61 or 63 on a regular basis, but when you need it, there was nowhere else to go but deep."

What's even more insane is that Herman was +50500 after the first two rounds at Circa Sports. A two dollar bet on that would've paid $101,000.

There's a serious lesson to be learned here. The next time you think about stuffing your face with two items from the dollar menu, sprinkle it on a golf longshot instead.
