Another week, another start as the betting favorite for world No. 1 Dustin Johnson.
Johnson was perceived as the man to beat last week at Riviera, both before the tournament and heading into the final round, but he faltered Sunday and fell to a T-8 finish after a closing 72. Despite that slip he's once again topping the odds list for this week's WGC-Workday Championship, which has moved from Mexico to Florida because of the pandemic.
Johnson won this event once at Doral and twice in Mexico City, meaning he has the opportunity to win the same tournament on a third different golf course. A similar opportunity awaits for defending champ Patrick Reed, who outlasted Bryson DeChambeau a year ago.
This year the tournament will be held at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, which has not hosted a PGA Tour event before but was the site of the 2015 NCAA Championship, when DeChambeau won the individual title while at SMU.
