RIDING THE WAVE

The San Antonio Spurs are coming off one of their biggest wins of the season, defeating Milwaukee 126-104 as 8-point underdogs. San Antonio connected on 19 made 3-point shots en-route to victory. Today, they take on another powerhouse in the East, the Boston Celtics.

Boston has posted a 14-2 home record this season (9-6 ATS) and where they have held opponents to 104.8 points per game. But the Spurs have shot the ball very well as of late averaging 115.7 points per game over their last three and rank as one of the top teams in points per game and shooting percentage on the road. Expect a confident Spurs team to keep things close and back them on the spread getting 7-points.

TOP TWO DEFENSES THROW DOWN

The Indiana Pacers have won 15 of their first 19 games at home (11-7 ATS), but find themselves as just slight 1-point favorites as they host the Miami Heat.

The Pacers rank seventh in opponent points per game at home allowing only 104.7 per contest. And this is a tough defense to score on, particularly for a Miami team that averages only 106.2 on the road. The Under looks like a good play when these two teams meet up as the average score over their last three head-to-head meetings has been 102-97 in favor of the Pacers. Bet Under the game total of 210.

TOO MUCH FIREPOWER

The highest game total on tonight’s slate by over 10-points takes place in Atlanta as the Hawks host the Houston Rockets, who will be without Russell Westbrook, as the point guard will be sitting out for rest.

The Rockets are the highest scoring road team in the Association averaging 119.3 points per game away from home. Today, they take on the 29th ranked Hawks defense allowing 117.3 points per game. Even without Westbrook in the lineup, look for the Rockets to score at will versus an extremely poor defense. When these two teams met up at the end of November, Houston put up 158. Take the Rockets on the spread laying 8-points.

ACTIVE ON THE GLASS

The Dallas Mavericks have been playing well. So well, that they are 3-point home favorites as they host the Denver Nuggets even without Kristaps Porzingis in the lineup tonight. Meanwhile, the Nuggets will be without Will Barton.

Dallas ranks towards the middle of the league when it comes to defending opposing centers from scoring. But they have really struggled giving up a big rebounding totals allowing 15.6 boards per game to opposing centers. Nikola Jokic is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game this season and through 14 games played in his career versus the Mavs, averages 11.1 rebounds per contest. Bet Over his rebounding total of 9.5.

LAUNCHING FROM DEEP

The Chicago Bulls hope to snap their four game losing streak as they travel to New Orleans to take on the 12-25 Pelicans, who rank in the Top 10 in points per game averaging 115.3 points per game on their home court.

Lonzo Ball recorded his fourth straight game scoring 20 or more points, and has been shooting very well from beyond the arc, connecting on four or more 3-point shots three times throughout that four game stretch. Expect his hot shooting to continue and bet Over his points total of 14.5.
