Jonathan Isaac was having a pretty excellent fantasy season when it all came to a halt on Jan. 1. Prior to injuring his knee on New Year's Day, the 22-year-old was putting up 12.3 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.6 spg, 2.5 bpg and 1.0 3s. And in his five games prior to the injury, he was taking things up another level, averaging 11.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.8 apg, 3.8 spg and 2.2 bpg, looking like a potential league-winning dynamo for anyone who'd drafted him.
It's too late now for Isaac to win our fantasy leagues, but Orlando's difference-making forward is officially back — and he reminded us of his upside on Monday with 13 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two 3s in just seven minutes of action. (You can check out some of the highlights of Isaac's work right here.)
On the latest episode of the Rotoworld Fantasy Basketball Podcast, Steve Alexander joins me to discuss what to expect from Isaac as the season approaches its restart, and the potential fallout for Aaron Gordon. Plus, Deandre Ayton is finding his range, Caris LeVert is doing what we expected and Jusuf Nurkic continues to look like a force.
