Power Play Report

Boston Weak on the PP

by Michael Finewax
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

It really hurts taking Boston players for power play points in fantasy pools as the Bruins have had only 122 power play opportunities, 25 less than the next worst team, the New Jersey Devils.

The Bruins have scored 22 goals with the man-advantage, tied for fourth worst in the NHL with Florida and ahead of only Colorado (21), Edmonton (20) and Buffalo (17).

Dougie Hamilton leads the Bruins in ice time on the power play at 114:06, which is 161st best in the NHL. Loui Eriksson is second on the team and 186th in the league.

That is hard to take.
