There was not a lot of action as the NHL took three days off for a Christmas break so let’s get right into it.

ANAHEIM

Sami Vatanen: 13 points in 138:23 minutes of power play time.

Ryan Getzlaf: 9 points in 129:57.

Ryan Kesler: 7 points in 116:33.

Cam Fowler: 5 points in 92:13.

Patrick Maroon: 3 points in 87:17.

Corey Perry: 5 points in 77:22.

 

The Ducks were 0-8 this week and are 20-125 (16.0%) this season.  They certainly need Perry back in the lineup.

 

ARIZONA

Keith Yandle: 14 points in 170:16 minutes of power play time.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: 9 points in 155.13.

Antoine Vermette: 10 points in 107:04.

Shane Doan: 4 points in 106:12.

Mikkel Boedker: 9 points in 104:16.

The Coyotes were 1-7 this week and are now 22-113 (19.5 %). Ekman-Larsson scored with Yandle and Gagner setting him up.

 

BOSTON

Dougie Hamilton: 5 points in 80:03 minutes of power play time.

Loui Eriksson: 5 points in 72:45.

Reilly Smith: 4 points in 71:28.

Patrice Bergeron: 5 points in 70:34.

Carl Soderberg: 6 points in 69:40.

Torey Krug: 5 points in 69:04.

 

The Bruins were 1-7 this week and are 14-85 (16.5%) thus far this season. David Krejci returned and led the Bruins in power play time on ice this week. He scored with Milan Lucic and Krug drawing the assists.

 

BUFFALO

Tyler Ennis: 7 points in 110:00 minutes of power play time.

Matt Moulson: 4 points in 98:08.

Tyler Myers: 2 points in 94:50.

Drew Stafford: 5 points in 93:04.

Cody Hodgson: 1 point in 66:51.

Brian Gionta: 1 point in 61:36.

 

The Sabres were 0-4 this week on the power play and are a league worst 9-101 (8.9%) this season.

 

CALGARY

Mark Giordano: 9 points in 117:31 minutes of power play time.

Jiri Hudler: 7 points in 110:29.

Sean Monahan: 7 points in 107:06.

Dennis Wideman: 9 points in 105:05.

Johnny Gaudreau: 7 points in 96:38.

Curtis Glencross: 6 points in 95:46.

 

The Flames were 1-5 in the last seven days and are 24-125 (19.2%) for the season. Gaudreau scored and was set up by Kris Russell and Wideman.

 

CAROLINA

Elias Lindholm: 6 points in 92:18.

Victor Rask: 6 points in 88:09.

Riley Nash: 4 points in 86:38.

Jonathan Toews: 11 points in 131:32.

Brent Seabrook: 10 points in 101:21.

Andrew Shaw: 3 points in 96:50.

Marian Hossa: 7 points in 89:17.

 

Chicago was 2-6 this week and are 25-134 (18.7%) this season. Patrick Sharp and Seabrook scored with Kane, Toews, Hossa and David Rundblad drawing the helpers. Sharp led the team in ice time this past week.

 

COLORADO

Tyson Barrie: 6 points in 104:13 minutes of power play time.

Matt Duchene: 2 points in 96:01.

Eric Johnson: 6 points in 95:21.

Ryan O'Reilly: 7 points in 92:27.

Nathan MacKinnon: 7 points in 89:12.

Gabriel Landeskog: 9 points in 88:50.

 

The Avs were 2-9 this week and are 17-116 (14.7%) this season. O'Reilly had a goal and an assist with defenseman Zach Redmond also finding the back of the net. Landeskog set up both goals with Brad Stuart also getting a helper.

 

COLUMBUS

Ryan Johansen: 16 points in 113:27 minutes of power play time.

James Wisniewski: 8 points in 108:58.

Nick Foligno: 17 points in 98:41.

Jack Johnson: 13 points in 95:31.

Scott Hartnell: 6 points in 91:09.

Cam Atkinson: 5 points in 87:46.

         

The Blue Jackets were 2-4 during the week and are 29-121 (24.0%) overall. Foligno and Alexander Wennberg scored as Johnson and Johansen set up both goals while Johnson also scored.  Johansen and Wisniewski had one assist apiece.

 

DALLAS

Tyler Seguin: 13 points in 123:54 minutes of power play time.

Jason Spezza: 11 points in 120:36.

Jamie Benn: 5 points in 115:52.

Trevor Daley: 7 points in 105:51.

Alex Goligoski: 4 points in 72:54.

Ales Hemsky: 2 points in 62:30.

 

The Stars were 2-9 this week and are 19-119 (16.0%) for the season.  Daley and Jason Demers scored with Seguin, Erik Cole and Colton Sceviour drawing assists.

 

DETROIT

Henrik Zetterberg: 11 points in 127:07 minutes of power play time.

Niklas Kronwall: 10 points in 121:19.

Gustav Nyquist: 13 points in 115:06.

Johan Franzen: 11 points in 94:07.

Riley Sheahan: 7 points in 92:25.

Tomas Tatar: 10 points in 89:44.

 

Detroit was 5-9 this week to go 33-136 (24.3%) thus far this season. Tatar scored twice with Zetterberg picking up a goal and an assist. Franzen and Stephen Weiss also scored. Nyquist had three assists, Jakub Kindl had two with Pavel Datsyuk, Danny DeKeyser, Kronwall and Brendan Smith also assisting.

 

EDMONTON

Justin Schultz: 3 points in 102:00 minutes of power play time.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: 3 points in 96:43.

Jordan Eberle: 5 points in 96:02.

David Perron: 3 points in 91:54.

Teddy Purcell: 6 points in 83:13.

Taylor Hall: 5 points in 81:46.

 

The Oilers were 0-11 this week and are 13-97 (13.4%) on the season.

The Panthers were 1-6 this week and are now 14-103 (13.6%). Brad Boyes was the goal scorer as Kulikov and Jokinen drew the assists.

Jeff Carter: 9 points in 120:22.

Anze Kopitar: 13 points in 107:33.

Jake Muzzin: 6 points in 97:31.

Marian Gaborik: 7 points in 77:00.

Alec Martinez: 4 points in 63:37.

 

The Kings were an amazing 4-6 this week and are 26-126 (20.6%) this season. They are 10-23 over the last two weeks. Kopitar had a goal and two assists this week, while Gaborik had one of each. Muzzin also scored with Justin Williams setting up two. Doughty, Carter and Dustin Brown each set up one goal.  

 

MINNESOTA

Ryan Suter: 7 points in 142:23 minutes of power play time.

Mikko Koivu: 4 points in 125:00.

Jason Pominville: 6 points in 124:05.

Zach Parise: 6 points in 107:50.

Thomas Vanek: 4 points in 107:34.

Mikael Granlund: 3 points in 90:07.

 

The Wild were 2-10 this week and are 16-111 (14.4%) this season. Charlie Coyle and Vanek scored with Suter, Pominville, Jared Spurgeon and Marco Scandella drawing assists.

 

MONTREAL

P.K. Subban: 4 points in 116:18 minutes of power play time.

Andrei Markov: 9 points in 106:40.

Max Pacioretty: 3 points in 84:51.

David Desharnais: 6 points in 79:03.

P. A. Parenteau: 4 points in 75:28.

Brendan Gallagher: 2 points in 72:15.

 

The Canadiens were 0-2 this week and are now 15-98 (15.3%) this season.

 

NASHVILLE

Shea Weber: 7 points in 111:23 minutes of power play time.

Mike Ribeiro: 3 points in 111:17.

The Predators were 3-11 and are currently 15-111 (13.5%). Mike Fisher, Forsberg and Colin Wilson scored with Josi assisting on two. Ribeiro, Weber and Seth Jones had assists.

Jaromir Jagr: 7 points in 93:11.

The Rangers were 3-10 this week and are now 18-105 (17.1%) this season. St. Louis and Derek Stepan each had a goal and an assist with Nash also scoring. Dan Boyle and Brassard had two assists apiece. Boyle was second on the team in ice time this week, trailing only Nash.

 

OTTAWA

Kyle Turris: 8 points in 117:18.

Clarke MacArthur: 5 points in 110:23.

The Capitals went 2-14 this week as they are 25-105 (23.8%) this season on the power play. Ovechkin and Backstrom scored with Johansson assisting on both. Green and Carlson also picked up assists.

The Jets were 1-5 this week and are 18-118 (15.2%) this season. Perreault scored with Ladd and Byfuglien drawing the assists.
