Power Play Report

Maple Leafs spreading out PP

by Michael Finewax
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

The Maple Leafs are using everyone on the power play. Or so it seems. Auston Matthews was second on the Maple Leafs in power play TOI but he dropped to seventh place as he only played 1:33 with the man-advantage this week.

It's hard to believe that Mitch Marner, who has been moved down to the fourth line, leads the team in power play time. There are nine players within eight minutes of Marner. The Maple Leafs are spreading it out and apparently it's working!
