Power Play Report

Nick Foligno and Shea Weber

by Michael Finewax
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

It was an outstanding week for Shea Weber who notched a hat trick on Saturday with all three goals coning on the power play. Congratulations to all his fantasy owners on the great night.

The opposite this season has been the play of Nick Foligno. The Columbus Blue Jacket has only four assists this season on the power play and only four goals and 14 points in 28 games this season.

Last season Foligno was a stud. He had 31 goals and 73 points with 11 goals and 26 points coming on the power play.

He was fourth on Columbus in power play time last season at 199:49 TOO but this season he is seventh in ice time at 67:38.

He has been on the ice for seven goals this season while he was on for 35 goals.

The power play is not the only reason that Foligno is well behind his pace of last season, but it certainly does not help.
