Power Play Report

Two birds that can't score

There are only two teams who have yet to score in the NHL on the power play, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Anaheim Ducks. Penguins and Ducks huh.

I checked back today to last season and noticed that the Ducks were one of the worst teams after two weeks scoring once in 21 chances while the Penguins were five-of-14 after two weeks of the 2014-15 season.

It’s a big difference but to be fair, the Penguins power play faltered a bit throughout the season and ended the year in ninth place.
