Vancouver hot on the PP

There were a boatload of goals scored on the power play this week, led by the Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs who scored seven and five respectively.

 

Justin Faulk continues to impress as he has eight goals with the man-advantage. He has yet to score in five-on-five situations and his minus-12 rating is indicative of that.

ANAHEIM

Cam Fowler: 2 points in 57:46 minutes of power play time.

Sami Vatanen: Zero points in 55:07.

Corey Perry:  6 points in 54:17.

Ryan Kesler: 4 points in 49:50.

Hampus Lindholm: 4 points in 43:49

Ryan Getzlaf: 2 points in 41:15.

 

The Ducks were 1-9 this week and are 9-60 on the season. Fowler scored with Perry and Getzlaf drawing the assists. Rickard Rakell continues to see first line power play time.

 

ARIZONA

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: 5 points in 122:42 minutes of power play time.

Mikkel Boedker: 3 points in 99:34.

Martin Hanzal: 4 points in 72:43.

Anthony Duclair: 4 points in 70:00.

Max Domi: 4 points in 67:26.

Shane Doan: 5 points in 60:14.

 

The Coyotes were 4-11 this week and are 12-80 on the season. Ekman-Larsson and Boedker each had a goal and an assist with Doan and Connor Murphy also scoring. Duclair, Antoine Vermette and Michael Stone all had one assist.

 

BOSTON

David Krejci: 9 points in 63:10 minutes of power play time.

Torey Krug:  7 points in 62:55.

Loui Eriksson: 7 points in 56:46.

Patrice Bergeron: 12 points in 56:15.

Ryan Spooner: 5 points in 56:07.

Jimmy Hayes: 2 points in 27:51.

 

The Bruins were 3-8 this week and are 20-59 in 2015-16.  Bergeron scored and added an assist while Eriksson and Brad Marchand also found the back of the net. Krug, Krejci, Spooner, Brett Connolly and Zdeno Chara drew assists.

 

BUFFALO

Ryan O'Reilly: 8 points in 62:42 minutes of power play time.

Cody Franson: 5 points in 58:24.

Matt Moulson: 2 points in 55:18.

Tyler Ennis: 4 points in 54:20.

Jack Eichel: 4 points in 49:10.

Rasmus Ristolainen: 5 points in 48:39.

 

The Sabres were 1-7 this week and are 14-62 this season. O'Reilly scored with Ennis and Franson setting him up.

 

CALGARY

Johnny Gaudreau: 4 points in 62:00 minutes of power play time.

Sean Monahan: 2 points in 59:35.

Dennis Wideman: 4 points in 58:27.

Jiri Hudler: 3 points in 54:07.

Mark Giordano: Zero points in 44:37.

The Hurricanes were 2-11 and are 10-69.  The amazing Faulk scored for the seventh straight week and he had both and now has eight of 10 Carolina goals. Rask, Versteeg, Lindholm and rookie Noah Hanifin each had an assist.

 

CHICAGO

Patrick Kane: 11 points in 67:42 minutes of power play time.

Jonathan Toews: 2 points in 61:39.

Artemi Panarin: 5 points in 61:06.

Brent Seabrook: 7 points in 59:52.

Andrew Shaw: 2 points in 49:09.

Artem Anisimov: 3 points in 39:55.

 

Chicago was 3-7 this week and are 15-71 thus far. Duncan Keith is back and on the first power play. He scored, as did Anisimov and Toews. Kane had two assists with Seabrook, Marian Hossa and Trevor Daley chipping in with one each.

 

COLORADO

Nathan MacKinnon: 6 points in 69:57 minutes of power play time.

Jarome Iginla: 6 points in 68:52.

Tyson Barrie: 6 points in 59:03.

Matt Duchene: 7 points in 59:03.

Gabriel Landeskog: 4 points in 56:38.

Francois Beauchemin: 5 points in 55:26.

 

The Avs were 2-10 this week and are 15-76 on the season. Duchene had a hand in both for the second week in a row, with a goal and an assist while MacKinnon chipped in with the other. Barrie, Iginla and Landeskog each had an assist.

 

COLUMBUS

Jack Johnson: 3 points in 68:12 minutes of power play time.

Ryan Johansen: 8 points in 68:12.

Scott Hartnell: 3 points in 67:09.

David Savard:  2 points in 65:20.

Brandon Saad: 6 points in 61:41.

Ryan Murray: 4 points in 60:19.

 

The Blue Jackets were 0-11 this week and are 15-77 this season.

 

DALLAS

Tyler Seguin: 10 points in 68:34 minutes of power play time.

Jason Spezza: 6 points in 65:19.

John Klingberg: 10 points in 65:13.

Detroit was 2-11 this week and are 12-67. Tatar had a goal and an assist with Teemu Pulkkinen also finding the back of the net. Zetterberg, Abdelkader and Brad Richards each drew an assist.

 

EDMONTON

Teddy Purcell: 2 points in 62:28.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: 6 points in 62:04.

Benoit Pouliot: 1 point in 45:01.

The Oilers were 1-9 this week and are 13-66 this season. Jordan Eberle was the goal scorer with Hall and Nugent-Hopkins drawing the assists.

Aaron Ekblad: 4 points in 53:35.

Brian Campbell: 4 points in 52:18.

Nick Bjugstad: 5 points in 52:15.

Jussi Jokinen: 4 points in 51:38.

The Panthers were 2-12 this week and are 16-72 for the season. Aleksander Barkov and Jokinen scored with Huberdeau, Ekblad, Reilly Smith and Brandon Pirri picking up the assists.

 

LOS ANGELES

Anze Kopitar: 2 points in 50:40.

Jeff Carter: 4 points in 45:16.

Marian Gaborik: Zero points in 43:51.

Jake Muzzin: 3 points in 42:32.

Alec Martinez: 3 points in 42:23.

 

The Kings were 2-9 this week and are 13-63 this season. Kopitar and Jamie McBain scored with Doughty, Tanner Pearson, Muzzin and Martinez drawing assists.

 

MINNESOTA

Ryan Suter: 8 points in 78:48 minutes of power play time.

Mikko Koivu: 5 points in 74:44.

Mikael Granlund: 4 points in 71:19.

Jason Pominville: 3 points in 60:53.

Thomas Vanek: 5 points in 57:25.

Jason Zucker: 2 points in 46:25.

 

The Wild were 4-11 this week and are 14-69 on the season.  Suter had a goal and two assists with Vanek getting one of each. Koivu and Jared Spurgeon also scored while Granlund had two assists and Pominville, Charlie Coyle and Matt Dumba each chipping in with one apiece.

 

MONTREAL

P.K. Subban: 9 points in 100:52 minutes of power play time.

Andrei Markov: 9 points in 80:15.

Max Pacioretty: 4 points in 68:22.

Tomas Plekanec: 7 points in 64:29.

Brendan Gallagher: 5 points in 62:07.

Alex Galchenyuk: 5 points in 51:14.

 

The Canadiens were 3-15 this week and are 19-78 this season. Markov scored with Subban and Plekanec setting him up. Pacioretty, David Desharnais and Galchenyuk scored with Subban assisting on two. Markov, Plekanec and Dale Weise also had assists. Gallagher is out for a while after breaking two fingers Sunday that will require surgery.

 

NASHVILLE

Roman Josi: 6 points in 60:54 minutes of power play time.

Shea Weber: 7 points in 60:13.

Filip Forsberg: 5 points in 54:34.

Mike Ribeiro: 2 points in 54:25.

James Neal: 6 points in 52:55.

Seth Jones: 3 points in 50:13.

 

The Predators were 1-9 this week and are 13-64 this season. Weber scored with Ribeiro and Josi getting the assists.

 

NEW JERSEY

Michael Cammalleri: 7 points in 59:07 minutes of power play time.

Adam Henrique: 2 points in 58:05.  

Damon Severson: 2 points in 54:31.

Kyle Palmieri: 9 points in 53:38.

Lee Stempniak: 5 points in 52:13.

Jacob Josefson: 3 points in 50:03.

 

The Devils were 3-12 this week and are 16-71 this season. Palmieri, Jordin Tootoo and Andy Greene scored as Cammalleri and Stempniak each had two assists. Zajac and David Schlemko each picked up a helper.  

 

NEW YORK ISLANDERS

John Tavares: 5 points in 67:47 minutes of power play time.

Kyle Okposo: 4 points in 65:26.

Anders Lee: 3 points in 59:22.

Frans Nielsen: 4 points in 50:59.

Nick Leddy: 3 points in 50:40.

Marek Zidlicky: 2 points in 43:50.

 

The Islanders were 1-12 this week and are 10-61 this season. Nielsen was the goal scorer with Tavares and Okposo drawing the assists.

 

NEW YORK RANGERS

Mats Zuccarello: 4 points in 44:34 minutes of power play time.

Keith Yandle: 4 points in 43:22.

Derick Brassard: 3 points in 41:56.

Derek Stepan: 3 points in 38:21.

Chris Kreider: 2 points in 36:34.

Rick Nash: 2 points in 34:22.

 

The Rangers were 1-4 this week and are 9-47 on the season. Nash scored and Dan Boyle and Brassard drew the assists.

 

OTTAWA

Kyle Turris: 4 points in 70:53.

Bobby Ryan: 5 points in 66:39.

Milan Michalek: 3 points in 63:47.

Mark Stone: 4 points in 58:06.

The Senators were 3-10 this week and are 14-63 this season. Turris scored twice with Mike Hoffman scoring once. Karlsson assisted on all three goals while Stone and Ryan each had an assist.

Jakub Voracek: 3 points in 65:14.

The Flyers were 1-11 on the power play this week and are 8-60 this season.  Shayne Gostisbehere scored the lone goal with Giroux and Voracek setting him up.

The Penguins were 4-16 this week and are 11-73 this season. Malkin had two goals and an assist with Kessel chipping in with one apiece. Beau Bennett also scored while Letang and Hornqvist each had two assists. Crosby had one helper.

Vladimir Tarasenko: 5 points in 65:04.

Alex Pietrangelo: 3 points in 64:40.

David Backes: 3 point in 56:27.

Jori Lehtera: 2 points in 53:54.

The Blues were 3-12 this week and are 12-70 this season. Tarasenko scored and had two assists with Backes and Kevin Shattenkirk getting one of each. Steen assisted on two goals.

 

SAN JOSE

Joe Thornton: 3 points in 73:24.

Joe Pavelski: 5 points in 72:01.

Patrick Marleau: 4 points in 71:56.

The Sharks were 3-18 this week and are 9-66 this season. Burns had a hand in all three with a goal and two assists while Marleau scored once and added a helper. Thornton also scored with Pavelski, Vlasic and Ward adding assists.

 

TAMPA BAY

Nikita Kucherov: 6 points in 67:00 minutes of power play time.

Steven Stamkos: 8 points in 65:15.

Anton Stralman: 3 points in 58:14.

Tyler Johnson: 5 points in 57:03.

Ryan Callahan: 1 point in 48:27.

Valtteri Filppula: 2 points in 46:52.

 

The Lightning were 2-9 this week and are 13-68 this season. Stamkos had a goal and an assist to give him points on the last four Tampa Bay goals (3G, 1A). Jonathan Marchessault scored with Kucherov assisting on both goals. Vladislav Namestnikov also drew an assist.

 

TORONTO

Dion Phaneuf: 3 points in 60:34 minutes of power play time.

James van Riemsdyk: 4 points in 58:17.

Nazem Kadri: 3 points in 54:36.

Joffrey Lupul: 3 points in 51:37.

P. A. Parenteau: 5 points in 50:54.

Tyler Bozak: 6 points in 39:12.

 

The Maple Leafs were 5-10 this week and are 13-63 this season. Parenteau scored twice to give him three in the last two weeks. Bozak had a goal and two assists with van Riemsdyk scoring once and assisting on another. Kadri finished the goal scoring while Peter Holland continued his excellent play on the power play with three helpers. Brad Boyes, Leo Komarov, Morgan Rielly and Matt Hunwick each had one assist.

 

VANCOUVER

Henrik Sedin: 7 points in 85:00 minutes of power play time.

Daniel Sedin:  8 points in 81:05.

Alexander Edler: 6 points in 79:21.

Radim Vrbata: 5 points in 67:20.

Yannick Weber: 3 points in 59:48.

Alex Burrows: 5 points in 50:48.

 

The Canucks were 7-22 this week and are 16-79 on the season. It was a big week for the Sedin twins as Daniel had three goals and an assist while Henrik had a goal and three helpers. Burrows and Vrbata each had a goal and an assist with Jared McCann scoring as well. Edler had three assists to give him five in the last two weeks while Bo Horvat had a pair and Weber and Dan Hamhuis each chipped in with one apiece.

 

WASHINGTON

Alex Ovechkin: 2 points in 79:42 minutes of power play time.

John Carlson: 6 points in 69:28.

T.J. Oshie: 4 points in 58:15.

Marcus Johansson: 1 point in 52:48.

Nicklas Backstrom: 6 points in 48:26.      

Evgeny Kuznetsov: 5 points in 48:09.

 

The Capitals went 2-10 this week and are 13-59 this season. Justin Williams and Kuznetsov scored with Matt Niskanen setting up both. Jason Chimera and Backstrom also had assists.

 

WINNIPEG

Dustin Byfuglien: 3 points in 68:59 minutes of power play time.

Blake Wheeler: 7 points in 63:37.

Andrew Ladd: 3 points in 61:57.

Bryan Little: 5 points in 60:354.

Mathieu Perreault: 5 points in 58:15

Tyler Myers: 1 point in 47:31.

 

 

The Jets were 1-14 this week and are 10-68 in 2015-16.  Mark Scheifele scored and was set up by Wheeler and Perreault.
