The Leafs are Falling

As Boston heads to number one this week on the Rotoworld Power Rankings, we look at the leading goal scorers for each team.

1. Boston 

Record: 8-1-2 (3-0-0)

(Last Week -4)

Boston won all three games this week, defeating Toronto, St. Louis and the New York Rangers. Torey Krug has a goal and five assists in eight contests. They play only twice this week as San Jose and Ottawa come to town. David Pastrnak lead the Bruin with 11 goals and had a five-assist game on Sunday.

2. Colorado

Record: 8-2-1 (1-2-0)

(Last Week -1)

The Avalanche continued their six-game road trip with a loss to the Blues and an impressive win over Vegas before losing at home to Anaheim. This week they play Florida and Dallas at home and travel to Arizona. Nathan MacKinnon leads the team with six goals.

3. Buffalo 

Record: 9-2-1 (2-1-0)

(Last Week -3)

The Sabres lost to the New York Rangers but sandwiched wins around that contest, defeating San Jose and Detroit. The Sabres are hosting Arizona, and the New York Islanders this week with a game in Washington on Friday. Jack Eichel. Victor Olofsson and Jeff Skinner all have six goals.

4. Washington

Record: 8-2-3 (2-0-1)

The Capitals played in Western Canada with visits to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, dropping an overtime game to the Oilers. Washington is in Toronto to start the week, and return home to play Buffalo and Calgary. Alex Ovechkin has nine goals in 13 games to lead Washington and is on pace for yet another 50-goal season.

5. Edmonton

Record: 8-3-1 (1-2-0)

The Oilers lost to Minnesota on the road, beat Washington in a thrilling comeback and lost to Florida. Edmonton play all three on the road this week, facing Detroit, Columbus and Pittsburgh. James Neal has 10 goals, one better than Leon Draisaitl.

6. New York Islanders

Record: 8-3-0 (3-0-0)

(Last Week -15)

New York won all three for the second week in a row, defeating Arizona, Philadelphia and Ottawa. They are home to Tampa Bay and visit Buffalo in a light schedule. Mathew Barzal leads in goals with five.

7. Carolina

Record:7-3-1 (1-0-1)

(Last Week -6)

It was a three-point week out of a possible four the Hurricanes they lost in overtime to Columbus before defeating Chicago. Carolina is home to Calgary, Detroit and New Jersey this week. Erik Haula, who acquired from Vegas in the off-season, leads with seven markers.

8. Nashville

Record: 7-3-1 (3-0-0)

(Last Week -13)

The Predators won all three this week as Anaheim, Minnesota and Tampa Bay could not beat Nashville. The Predators are home to Chicago, Calgary and the New York Rangers this week. Roman Josi, Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg all have five goals for Nashville through 11 games.

9. Vegas

Record: 8-5-0 (2-2-0)

(Last Week -9)

The Golden Knights split the week as they lost to Philadelphia and Colorado but knocked off Chicago and Anaheim. The Golden Knights are home to Montreal and Winnipeg this week. Mark Stone and Reilly Smith each have seven goals to lead the team.

10. Tampa Bay

Record: 5-3-2 (1-0-1)

(Last Week -10)

The Lightning defeated Pittsburgh before losing in overtime to Nashville. Tampa Bay takes on the Rangers, Islanders and New Jersey as they head to the New York area for all three games. Steven Stamkos leads the Lightning with five goals, one better than Kevin Shattenkirk.
