In a new regular column on Rotoworld, we reflect on the tournaments just gone and also take an early peek at the action ahead on the PGA and European Tours. Mo Yoshimoto will take a much deeper delve into what took place at TPC Sawgrass in The Takeaway.

Travelers Championship

Final Leaderboard

1. (-17, 263) Chez Reavie (Odds: 66/1; DraftKings pricing: $8,400)
2. (-13, 267) Zack Sucher (Odds: 500/1; DraftKings pricing: $6,200)
2. (-13, 267) Keegan Bradley (Odds: 80/1; DraftKings pricing: $7,700)
4. (-12, 268) Vaughn Taylor (Odds: 200/1; DraftKings pricing: $6,700)
5. (-11, 269) Paul Casey (Odds: 20/1; DraftKings pricing: $9,500)
5. (-11, 269) Joaquin Niemann (Odds: 80/1; DraftKings pricing: $7,500)
5. (-11, 269) Kevin Tway (Odds: 66/1; DraftKings pricing: $7,400)

Notes: Of the top names, only Casey made an impression. Looks like the U.S. Open took it out of many (Brooks Koepka said he was actually yawning during round three) although Reavie was third at Pebble.

Fate of the favorites

57. (Evs, 280) Brooks Koepka (Odds: 7/1; DraftKings pricing: $11,800)
MC. (+2, 142) Jordan Spieth (Odds: 10/1; DraftKings pricing: $10,700)
15. (-8, 272) Patrick Cantlay (Odds: 12/1; DraftKings pricing: $11,300)
57. (Evs, 280) Francesco Molinari (Odds: 16/1; DraftKings pricing: $10,300)
8. (-10, 270) Jason Day (Odds: 18/1; DraftKings pricing: $10,000)

Notes: Plenty of salary was wasted on this quintet. Koepka's last two majors: second and first. Koepka's last two regular PGA TOUR events. T57 and T50.

Coming up this week…

Rocket Mortgage Classic

Location: Detroit Golf Club, Detroit, MI. 7,334 yards, par 72.

Notes: The first PGA TOUR event in Michigan since 2009 (Buick Open) will take place on a Donald Ross design. The host course (North) opened in 1916 and underwent recent renovations from Tom Doak and Bruce Hepner. It has a deal to stage the event through 2022. Expect players to be given a gentle introduction and scores to be low.

Who’s playing? Dustin Johnson, Gary Woodland, Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Hideki Matsuyama, Billy Horschel, Chez Reavie, Brandt Snedeker, Ryan Moore, Viktor Hovland.

BMW International Open

Final Leaderboard

1. (-15, 273) Andrea Pavan (Odds: 100/1)
2. (-15, 273) Matthew Fitzpatrick (Odds: 14/1)
3. (-13, 275) Christiaan Bezuidenhout (Odds: 125/1)
3. (-13, 275) Rafa Cabrera Bello (Odds: 25/1)
3. (-13, 275) Edoardo Molinari (Odds: 225/1)
3. (-13, 275) Alvaro Quiros (Odds: 225/1)
3. (-13, 275) Matthias Schwab (Odds: 75/1)
3. (-13, 275) Jordan Smith (Odds: 28/1)
3. (-13, 275) Matt Wallace (Odds: 11/1)

Notes: Pavan's second European Tour win and both in the last 12 months so 100/1 seems generous. A real mix of fancied runners and outsiders in the log-jam for T3 in Germany.

Coming up this week…

Andalucia Masters

Location: Valderrama, Sotogrande, Spain. 7,001 yards, par 71.

Notes: A new summer date for the event played previously in October. And a new sponsor in the form of lager brand Estrella Damm. Sergio Garcia will once again host the event through his Foundation. No concerns that the extras activities distract him as check the list of recent winners!

Who’s playing? Sergio Garcia, Jon Rahm, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Jorge Campillo, Joost Luiten, Julian Suri, Ross Fisher, Andy Sullivan, Thomas Detry, Victor Dubuisson, Andrea Pavan.

Last 4 winners

2018 (-12, 201) Sergio Garcia – 15th European Tour win
2017 (-12, 272) Sergio Garcia – 14th European Tour win
2011 (-6, 278) Sergio Garcia – 10th European Tour win
2010 (-3, 281) Graeme McDowell – 7th European Tour win

Notes: Last year's event was reduced to 54 holes after a series of weather delays over the first three days.
