Week 11 Live Blog

by Ryan McDowell

Week Eleven includes the NFL game of the year but you'll have to wait until Monday night for the Rams and Chiefs game. Until then, enjoy the starting debut of rookie QB Lamar Jackson, who starts in place of injured QB Joe Flacco

(7:23PM) The Saints are cruising to another win, leading the Eagles 48-7 with three minutes remaining, and they have their backups in for mop up duty. That means it is time to call it a day. Good luck in your remaining fantasy matchups and enjoy the final two games of the week, especially Rams/Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

(7:10PM) A pair of games ending with game-winning field goals as the Broncos and Raiders came back to get surprising wins. For the Raiders, it is only their second win of the season. Arizona RB David Johnson ended the game with 154 total yards.

(6:54PM) TOUCHDOWN: Up 37-7, the Saints went for a fourth-down and QB Drew Brees dropped it in to RB Alvin Kamara for a 38-yard touchdown. That's Kamara's first reception of the game.

(6:42PM) INJURY: The Raiders were already playing without WRs Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant in today's game and have lost veteran WR Brandon LaFell, who suffered an Achilles injury.

(6:37PM) TOUCHDOWN: A 53-yard run by RB David Johnson got the Cardinals in the red zone and WR Larry Fitzgerald finished it off with a five-yard touchdown reception, giving the Cards the lead.

(6:34PM) TOUCHDOWN: Broncos RB Philip Lindsay has his second score of the day, taking the direct snap for a two-yard touchdown run. Denver leads 20-19 after a failed two-point attempt.

(6:15PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Saints are piling on the points as QB Drew Brees hit WR Michael Thomas for a 23-yard score. Brees has 256 yards and three TDs while Thomas is up to 4/92/1 early in the second half.

(6:14PM) TOUCHDOWN: Earlier in the game, Broncos rookie RB Phillip Lindsay scored the first touchdown by a running back against the Chargers. Now, rookie RB Royce Freeman got his, scoring from three yards out. Denver trails the Chargers 19-14.

(6:03PM) The Saints lead Philadelphia 24-7 at the break as QB Drew Brees has 207 passing yards and two touchdowns. WR Michael Thomas (2/60) and RB Alvin Kamara (46 rushing yards, 0 targets) are off to slow starts.

(5:59PM) After one of the best games from a tight end we've seen in years, Eagles TE Zach Ertz is throwing up a clunker today. He's caught one ball for seven yards on the day.

(5:57PM) TOUCHDOWN; Chargers QB Philip Rivers just found one of his favorite targets ever, hitting TE Antonio Gates for a six-yard score. The veteran tight end now has a 4/55/1 line for the game, his best of the season.

(5:50PM) TOUCHDOWN: Saints rookie WR Tre'Quan Smith just hauled in a 15-yard score, absorbing a huge hit on the catch and barely getting the ball across the goal line. After a slow start, Smith now leads the team with a 6/69/1 line.

(5:47PM) The Chargers lead Denver 13-7 at the start of the second half. RB Melvin Gordon has totaled 77 yards while WR Mike Williams leads the team with 56 yards on two receptions. Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay leads the team in both rushing (48) and receiving (21). WRs Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton have combined for two receptions for 12 yards.

(5:41PM) The Raiders and Cardinals are tied at 14 at the half. RB David Johnson has 70 total yards while WR Christian Kirk leads the team with a 2/65/2 line. Raiders RB Doug Martin has rushed for 52 yards on ten carries.

(5:28PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Eagles are on the board as rookie RB Josh Adams ran for a 28-yard touchdown, cutting the Saints lead to 17-7 midway through the second quarter.

(5:23PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Chargers are on the board again and have taken the lead over Denver. QB Philip Rivers found WR Keenan Allen for a four-yard score. He's currently at 5/52/1 on a team-high seven targets in the first half.

(5:15PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Saints have added to their lead on a 14-yard touchdown run from veteran RB Mark Ingram, who leads the team with 58 rushing yards on only four carries. RB Alvin Kamara has 41 rushing yards and has not been targeted in the passing game.

(5:08PM) The top-scoring TEs for the week to this point...

TE1- Jordan Reed

TE2- OJ Howard

TE3- Vance McDonald

TE4- Jonnu Smith

TE5- Jared Cook

(5:02PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Raiders have tied the game against Arizona as QB Derek Carr hit WR Brandon LaFell for a five-yard score. Carr has only completed four passes in the game but two have gone for touchdowns.

(4:58PM) The top-scoring FF WRs for the week...

WR1- TY Hilton

WR2- DJ Moore

WR3- Davante Adams

WR4- Kenny Golladay

WR5- Mike Evans

(4:56PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Saints Offense started slowly today but found the paint as QB Drew Brees hit WR Austin Carr for a three-yard score. The Saints lead Philly 10-0.

(4:49PM) TOUCHDOWN: Entering today, the Chargers had yet to allow a rushing touchdown to a running back. That streak ended in a big way as Broncos rookie RB Phillip Lindsay sprinted up the middle untouched for a 41-yard score, giving Denver a 7-6 lead.

(4:43PM) TOUCHDOWN: It's never a good idea to get into a footrace with rookie WR Christian Kirk. He caught a short pass from QB Josh Rosen, broke a tackle and was gone for a 59-yard score. Arizona leads 14-7.

(4:40PM) INJURY: What we feared and assumed has been confirmed. Redskins QB Alex Smith broke both bones in his lower leg and will undergo season-ending surgery immediately. The NFC East leaders will presumably turn to Colt McCoy as their starter.

(4:36PM) The top-scoring FF RBs for the week, so far...

RB1- Saquon Barkley

RB2- Ezekiel Elliott

RB3- Aaron Jones

RB4- Leonard Fournette

RB5- Gus Edwards

(4:27PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Larry Fitzgerald resurgence continues as he caught the Cardinals first touchdown of the game, an 18-yarder from QB Josh Rosen. RB David Johnson has 33 rushing yards in the early going.

(4:19PM) With only a few games left in Week 11, here are the top-scoring players from each position, beginning with QBs...

QB1- Cam Newton

QB2- Andrew Luck

QB3- Aaron Rodgers

QB4- Ben Roethlisberger

QB5- Andy Dalton

(4:16PM) All of the early games are in the books. Here are the final scores:

Steelers 20, Jaguars 16

Cowboys 22, Falcons 19

Ravens 24, Bengals 21

Lions 20, Panthers 19

Colts 38, Titans 10

Giants 38, Buccaneers 35

Texans 23, Redskins 21

(4:13PM) TOUCHDOWN: The first score from the late games comes from Raiders TE Jared Cook, who caught a 23-yard pass from QB Derek Carr to give Oakland the lead.

(4:10PM) TOUCHDOWN: After a pathetic first-half performance, the Steelers just got a rushing score from QB Ben Roethlisberger with three seconds left to come back and defeat the Jaguars. Big Ben completed one pass in the first quarter and still finished with 314 passing yards.

(3:55PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Panthers have scored with just over one minute remaining. QB Cam Newton hit rookie WR DJ Moore for an eight-yard score. Down one point, the Panthers went for two and failed, giving the Lions a 20-19 win as they should be able to run out the clock. Moore will finish with a 7/157/1 line.

(3:50PM) TOUCHDOWN: I'm only reporting this because I have to...Titans QB Blaine Gabbert threw a one-yard touchdown to WR Tajae Sharpe

(3:46PM) TOUCHDOWN: Giants RB Saquon Barkley just scored his third touchdown of the day, all but wrapping up the game for New York. Barkley now has 149 total yards for the game.

(3:39PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Buccaneers have scored again and now trail by only three points after QB Jameis Winston hit WR Adam Humphries for an eight-yard score.

(3:38PM) INJURY: Lions rookie RB Kerryon Johnson has been ruled out with a knee injury. This is obviously bad news for the Lions and fantasy players.

(3:36PM) TOUCHDOWN: We've got ourselves a streak! WR Julio Jones has caught a touchdown pass from the third straight game, this one coming from 34 yards out to tie the game with Dallas at 19 points. Jones has six receptions for 118 yards on the day.

(3:35PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Lions have taken to lead on an amazing leaping 19-yard touchdown catch for WR Kenny Golladay. Babytron now has eight catches for 113 yards and a score for the game.

(3:29PM) TOUCHDOWN: Redskins veteran RB Adrian Peterson rushed for his second score of the game, a seven-yard touchdown giving his team a 21-20 lead early in the fourth quarter. Peterson now has just 40 rushing yards but his fantasy bottom line looks good with the two scores.

(3:27PM) INJURY: A little more information on the injury to QB Alex Smith. Not only did he need to be carted off but his leg was also placed in an air cast before being loaded onto the cart. Former Redskins QB Joe Theismann, who suffered one of the most famous sports injuries ever, tweeted that Smith's injury was just like his. Terrible news.

(3:26PM) TOUCHDOWN: QB Cam Newton has tied the game on a touchdown pass to WR Curtis Samuel spanning 12 yards. The Panthers could've taken the lead if not for a missed extra point.

(3:25PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Bucs are hanging around, as they usually do. RB Peyton Barber ran up the middle for a five-yard score to cut the lead to ten points. QB Jameis Winston has completed all four passes since he entered the game.

(3:23PM) TOUCHDOWN: Colts QB Andrew Luck has thrown another touchdown pass, hitting WR Dontrelle Inman for a seven-yard score. Indy leads the Titans 38-3.

(3:20PM) INJURY: Panthers QB Cam Newton has returned to the game as the Panthers trail by six points early in the fourth quarter.

(3:18PM) TOUCHDOWN: We might just be seeing the beginning of the Gus Edwards era in Baltimore. The rookie back just scored an 11-yard touchdown, giving him 96 rushing yards for the game. The Ravens also converted the two-point conversion to tie the game at 21 points.

(3:13PM) INJURY: It is not only quarterbacks dealing with injuries today. Lions RB Kerryon Johnson, who has 97 total yards in the game, is currently out of the game with a knee injury. The team has called him questionable to return.

(3:09PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Cowboys are pulling away as RB Ezekiel Elliott ran the ball up the middle for a 23-yard touchdown on the first play following an interception of QB Matt Ryan. Dallas leads 19-9 and Elliott now has 180 total yards.

(3:07PM) INJURY: Another injury to a starting quarterback as QB Cam Newton was hit late on a play and immediately went down in pain. Backup QB Taylor Heinicke is in the game. Newton is moving around on the sidelines but is in obvious pain.

(3:05PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Bengals now have a 21-13 lead over Baltimore after QB Andy Dalton hit WR John Ross for a 22-yard touchdown, his first catch of the day.

(3:04PM) TOUCHDOWN: Redskins backup QB Colt McCoy quickly came in and led his team to a scoring drive. McCoy hit TE Jordan Reed for a nine-yard touchdown pass.

(3:03PM) TOUCHDOWN: Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston was working his way to the end zone when he lost the ball. WR Mike Evans fell on the ball in the paint for the touchdown.

(3:01PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Cowboys have taken the lead over the Falcons on a four-yard touchdown run from QB Dak Prescott. After failing to record a reception in the first half, WR Amari Cooper has three grabs for 36 yards in the second half.

(3:00PM) TOUCHDOWN: It had to be reviewed but Colts WR TY Hilton has his second touchdown of the day thanks to some nifty footwork on the sideline. Hilton is up to 7/131/2 for the game.

(2:59PM) There will be no Fitzmagic today. Buccaneers veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been benched for the second time this season and replaced by QB Jameis Winston.

(2:56PM) INJURY: Redskins QB Alex Smith was sacked and stayed down on the field with an apparent ankle injury. He had to be carted off the field and Washington's backup QB Colt McCoy is warming up.

(2:52PM) We knew about the transition to rookie QB Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. A surprise move though has been giving rookie RB Gus Edwards the heaviest workload of his career. Edwards has ten carries for 63 yards while "starter" Alex Collins has rushed six times for 17 yards.

(2:49PM) INJURY: We've got some clarity on the injury to Titans QB Marcus Mariota. It's an elbow injury that has Mariota questionable to return. Backup QB Blaine Gabbert started the second half and threw an interception. Down 24-3, we might not see Mariota again regardless of his injury status.

(2:43PM) Panthers rookie WR DJ Moore continues his move into the team's WR1 role. Moore just made a nice catch near the sideline and then took it 82 yards, but was caught before he could reach the end zone. Moore has caught all five targets for 139 yards in the game.

(2:20PM) INJURY: Titans QB Marcus Mariota has taken a beating in the first half and is currently making his way to the sidelines where backup QB Blaine Gabbert is warming up. It is unclear of what Mariota's injury is, but he's out of the game, for now.

(2:10PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Colts are running away from the Titans and just scored again to up their lead to 23-0. After RB Marlon Mack scored an earlier touchdown, rookie RB Jordan Wilkins git his turn, rushing for an 18-yard touchdown.

(2:04PM) The Jaguars are running all over the Steelers Defense. RB Leonard Fournette has rushed for 72 yards on 13 carries, while RB Carlos Hyde has chipped in 37 yards and RB TJ Yeldon has 22 yards on four carries.

(2:00PM) TOUCHDOWN: Colts WR TY Hilton has caught all four of his targets for 101 yards and his latest reception went for a 68-yard touchdown, giving Indy a 17-0 lead over the Titans.

(1:59PM) We're now about halfway through the second quarter and QB Ben Roethlisberger has completed only one pass. WR Antonio Brown has seen one target and failed to make a catch.

(1:52PM) TOUCHDOWN: On a fourth-down attempt near the goal line, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick rushed for a one-yard touchdown, cutting the Giants lead to 14-7.  Fitz has completed 7 or 9 pass attempts so far.

(1:47PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Bengals have tied the game against Baltimore. RB Joe Mixon got the one-yard touchdown after he caught a 21-yarder earlier in the drive and WR Tyler Boyd had a 29-yard catch.

(1:44PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Redskins finished off a successful drive with a three-yard rushing score from RB Adrian Peterson, who had struggled in the early going today. Peterson now has 18 yards on seven carries.

(1:42PM) The Cowboys have RB Ezekiel Elliott going early. Zeke has 66 total yards early in the second quarter, including a 34-yard reception.

(1:39PM) It's been a slow start for the Jaguars and Steelers, who start the second quarter in a scoreless tie. RB James Conner has 13 total yards and QBs Ben Roethlisberger and Blake Bortles combined for three completed passes in the opening quarter.

(1:33PM) TOUCHDOWN: It's going to be a Barkley game. Giants rookie RB Saquon Barkley scored his second touchdown of the game, this one coming on a five-yard rush. The Giants lead Tampa Bay 14-0, which is the exact recipe for some Fitzmagic.

(1:30PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Texans have added to their lead over Washington after a 16-yard touchdown pass from QB Deshaun Watson to WR DeAndre Hopkins, who made a beautiful grab for his eighth score of the season.

(1:19PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Lions had an answer for the Panthers' score as rookie RB Kerryon Johnson keyed the scoring drive and finished it off with an eight-yard scoring run. Johnson has 45 yards in the game already.

(1:13PM) TOUCHDOWN: On an opening drive that included no passes, Ravens RB Alex Collins scored from seven yards out, giving Baltimore an early lead over the Bengals. QB Lamar Jackson gained 46 rushing yards on the drive.

(1:11PM) TOUCHDOWN: A pair of big receptions for rookie WR DJ Moore, totaling 42 yards, got the Panthers into the red zone and then QB Cam Newton hit a wide open TE Greg Olsen for a one-yard touchdown.

(1:09PM) On his first third down, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson ran the ball, gaining 21 yards. He's already got three rushes for 39 yards.

(1:07PM) TOUCHDOWN: The Giants finished off the drive as Tampa didn't bother covering RB Saquon Barkley out of the backfield. He caught an easy six-yard touchdown pass from QB Eli Manning

(1:05PM) The Giants are in the red zone after QB Eli Manning hit WR Odell Beckham over the top for a 41-yard gain. Those two should pick on the Bucs defense all day long.

(12:57PM) There was optimism that the Bengals would get back WR AJ Green (toe) today but he'll sit again. Players that will play include: WR Chris Godwin, WR John Ross, WR Keke Coutee
