Week 14 Live Blog

It is Week Fourteen and the fantasy playoffs are underway in most leagues. Maybe more than any previous week, injuries are already playing a major role in lineup decisions. I'll be here all day to track those injured players, along with scoring plays and other updates. Be sure to follow along!

(7:33PM) With only two games remaining, and both being firmly in hand, it is time to call it a day. Enjoy the final two games of the week and good luck in those fantasy playoff matchups. We'll be back next week with more wall to wall coverage of Week Fifteen in the NFL.

(7:26PM) RB Bilal Powell ran the ball in from 19 yards out to end the game in overtime and the Jets have defeated the 49ers, who have not won since Week One. Powell finished with 179 total yards and two scores after starter Matt Forte left the game with an injury.

(7:20PM) QB Russell Wilson has thrown another interception and the Packers put up even more points, this time on a rushing score from WR Jeff Janis. The Packers lead 38-10.

(7:17PM) The Jets and Niners are now in overtime. San Francisco got the ball first and RB Carlos Hyde is again doing work. He just ran for 25 yards and now has 193 rushing yards, along with seven as a receiver, giving him a total of 200 for the game.

(7:10PM) It is too little, too late, but Seattle QB Russell Wilson found rookie WR Tanner McEvoy for the team's first touchdown of the day. Wilson now has 211 passing yards and one score. He has added another 19 rushing yards.

(7:06PM) Up four touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the Packers have put QB Aaron Rodgers on the bench. He'll end the day with an impressive 246 yards and three touchdown passes against the Seahawks defense.

(7:05PM) Thanks to a 50-yard field goal, the Jets have tied the 49ers and with just 38 seconds remaining, the game is likely headed for overtime.

(6:58PM) It doesn't make up for his disastrous season, but Rams RB Todd Gurley has his team on the board after a three-yard score. Gurley has over 70 total yards on the day, which will end up as one of his better fantasy games this season.

(6:44PM) If you used the Falcons team defense in your fantasy playoffs, you're probably in good shape. Vic Beasley completed all portions of a strip-sack of Rams QB Jared Goff, returning the ball 21 yards for the touchdown. That makes two defensive touchdowns for Atlanta and gives them a 42-0 lead.

(6:42PM) The Jets are finally showing a little fight and RB Bilal Powell, playing a near full-time role in place of the injured Matt Forte, ran the ball in for the short score. Powell now has 109 total yards, along with that touchdown. A two-point conversion rush from QB Bryce Petty brought the Jets to within three points.

(6:39PM) The Falcons are stomping the Rams in Los Angeles and RB Tevin Coleman just scored his second touchdown of the day. While RB Devonta Freeman has been quiet, totaling just 21 yards, Coleman now has 52 yards from scrimmage and the two scores, one rushing and one receiving.

(6:33PM) The Packers have opened up their lead on a touchdown pass from QB Aaron Rodgers to WR Jordy Nelson. Rodgers now has 230 yards and a trio of touchdowns. Nelson is leading the team with six catches for 41 yards and two touchdowns.

(6:27PM) The Saints/Bucs game had the look of a potential high-scoring affair perfectly suited for fantasy players. Instead, the game is a 13-8 contest midway through the third period and both QBs Drew Brees and Jameis Winston have barely broken the 100 yard mark with no touchdowns. Tampa RB Doug Martin has 43 rushing yards and a touchdown and is the fantasy star of the game. WR Mike Evans has logged three grabs for 33 yards, Saints WR Brandin Cooks has just 4/23 and the New Orleans running game has managed 26 rushing yards between Tim Hightower and Mark Ingram

(6:16PM) There has been very little scoring lately, but the matchup between the Packers and Seahawks continues to be a good one. QB Aaron Rodgers has over 200 passing yards and two scores, while Ty Montgomery leads the Pack in rushing with 35 yards. WR Davante Adams has two grabs for 92 yards and a score, most of that coming on his early 66-yard touchdown. The Seahawks offense has been non-existent with only 109 passing yards for Russell Wilson. RB Thomas Rawls does have 74 total yards in another solid outing.

(6:12PM) 49ers veteran WR Torrey Smith went up for a high pass and landed hard on the turf, and then didn't move. Smith is now sitting up, so it doesn't appear to be a neck/spinal injury, but could still be a concussion. He was carted off the field.

(6:06PM) Finally, here are the top fantasy TEs for the week, up to this point.

TE1- Tyler Eifert, CIN

TE2- Zach Ertz, PHI

TE3- Kyle Rudolph, MIN

TE4- Travis Kelce, KC

TE5- Charles Clay, BUF

(5:45PM) The Packers are missing another weapon for QB Aaron Rodgers as TE Jared Cook was seen walking to the locker room just before the half time break.

(5:44PM) The leading fantasy WRs for the week, so far, are:

WR1- Emmanuel Sanders, DEN

WR2- TY Hilton, IND

WR3- Demaryius Thomas, DEN

WR4- Kenny Stills, MIA

WR5- JJ Nelson, ARZ

(5:40PM) The Jets and 49ers are at halftime and with New York not putting up much of a fight, San Fran is cruising to a win, currently leading 17-3. QB Colin Kaepernick has 116 passing yards and 15 rushing yards, while RB Carlos Hyde is up to 148 total yards. WR Jeremy Kerley leads the team with four receptions for 41 yards. Veteran WR Brandon Marshall has just one catch for four yards for the Jets.

(5:28PM) The Falcons have extended their lead thanks to a pick six thrown by Rams rookie QB Jared Goff, his second interception of the game. Atlanta now leads 21-0.

(5:26PM) Looks like I was wrong, which is good news for Green Bay. WR Randall Cobb is back in the game after being checked for an ankle injury. The Packers also just put more points on the board thanks to a touchdown connection between QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Jordy Nelson

(5:17PM) The top fantasy RBs for the week are:

RB1- Le'Veon Bell, PIT

RB2- Jeremy Hill, CIN

RB3- LeSean McCoy, BUF

RB4- Carlos Hyde, SF

RB5- Lamar Miller, HOU

(5:12PM) The Packers seem to be moving back to WR Ty Montgomery as their primary ball carrier. He has six carries for 32 yards, both team highs, and just scored on a short run to give Green Bay and 14-3 lead over Seattle. Christine Michael and James Starks have combined for four carries and 14 yards.

(5:11PM) The Falcons are on the board again and now lead the Rams 14-0 thanks to a touchdown reception from RB Tevin Coleman, who has 14 total yards. QB Matt Ryan now has two scores and 93 passing yards.

(5:10PM) A quick update...Cobb has been taken to the locker room with an ankle injury and he is questionable to return. Don't count on him returning after having his ankle rolled up.

(5:06PM) Packers WR Randall Cobb is on the sidelines and is being checked by Green Bay's medical staff with what is an apparent ankle or foot injury. Cobb had three grabs for 33 yards before leaving.

(5:03PM) The Saints offense again looks out of whack and the Buccaneers have a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter. Tampa RB Doug Martin has been struggling, but is running well today and scored from one-yard out. Martin has 31 yards on the ground so far.

(5:01PM) The Jets have apparently given up on the season and 49ers RB Carlos Hyde is taking advantage. Hyde has 123 rushing yards on just six carries and has also add a seven-yard touchdown reception and San Francisco leads 17-3 midway through the second quarter.

(4:58PM) With no Julio Jones, QB Matt Ryan is spreading the ball around in the first quarter. Aldrick Robinson, Nick Williams, Taylor Gabriel, Devonta Freeman and Justin Hardy each have one reception as the Falcons leads the Rams.

(4:56PM) Time for an update on the top fantasy scorers for Week Fourteen, beginning with the QBs:

QB1- Ryan Tannehill, MIA

QB2- Sam Bradford, MIN

QB3- Trevor Siemian, DEN

QB4- Andy Dalton, CIN

QB5- Matthew Stafford, DET

(4:44PM) A quick update on Forte. The Jets have quickly ruled him out for the remainder of the game. Not only does this hurt the Jets and fantasy teams relying on Forte today, but it could be a bad sign moving forward.

(4:40PM) Jets RB Matt Forte entered the game with a juicy matchup against the 49ers defense, but an early knee injury has him questionable to return. If he stays on the sidelines, we should see a ton of Bilal Powell as the Jets try to comeback against San Francisco.

(4:29PM) The late games are off to some fun starts. First, Rams KR Mike Thomas mishandled the opening kickoff and the Falcons recovered. On the first play from scrimmage, QB Matt Ryan hit WR Justin Hardy for the touchdown. In Green Bay, QB Aaron Rodgers connected with WR Davante Adams for the 66-yard touchdown on their first possession.

(4:25PM) The Panthers are in the process of finishing off the Chargers. WR Kelvin Benjamin has caught just one pass for 11 yards in the game and now a Carolina beat writer is reporting he's been benched.

(4:21PM) An early report suggests the injury suffered by Miami QB Ryan Tannehill is in fact an ACL tear, which will end his season. Considering how late in the year it is, this could also affect his 2017 season.

(4:18PM) The Jets are 49ers are matching up in San Francisco and RB Carlos Hyde is off to a nice start. Earlier, he caught a seven-yard score from QB Colin Kaepernick and on the team's second drive, his 47-yard run led to another 49ers touchdown. He has 65 total yards already.

(4:13PM) The Cardinals are trying to get back in the game and QB Carson Palmer and WR JJ Nelson just connected for the score. For Nelson, it is his first catch of the day, but his second touchdown after a first half end around went 56 yards. The Cardinals were successful on their two-point conversion as RB David Johnson caught the Palmer pass and the game is now tied.

(4:11PM) There have still been no official reports on the injury to Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, but he is back on the sidelines and is in street clothes. Obviously, he won't return to the game today and there are reports he was being consoled by teammates. With only three weeks left, his season could be over.

(4:06PM) The Bills looked done a long time ago, but they are not giving up. With under two minutes, RB LeSean McCoy ran for a short score and Buffalo is now down just one touchdown. They'll still need some help with time ticking down and a failed onside kick. McCoy has only 27 rushing yards on the day, but leads the team with six catches for 81 yards.

(4:03PM) The Vikings have scored again and it looks like they will outlast the Jaguars as the game nears the two-minute warning. For the latest score, QB Sam Bradford found TE Kyle Rudolph for the touchdown. The Vikes tight end has four catches for 60 yards in the game.

(4:01PM) The Redskins have regained the lead thanks to a 25-yard rushing score from RB Chris Thompson. Also in that game, we've seen very little from TE Jordan Reed in his return to the field. He has just one catch for ten yards.

(3:55PM) The Cardinals are into the end zone again after a touchdown pass from QB Carson Palmer to WR Britton Golden. Palmer has just 111 passing yards on the day.

(3:51PM) Colts WR Donte Moncrief has been one of many disappointing players on the day, failing to catch a single pass on four targets from QB Andrew Luck. Now, Moncrief is dealing with a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.

(3:46PM) The Colts are still down at home to division rival Houston, but QB Andrew Luck just threw a 35-yard score to WR T.Y. Hilton to trim the Texans' lead to just two points mid-way through the fourth quarter. Luck has 243 yards and two touchdowns, while Hilton is sporting a 6/92/1 line.

(3:43PM) The Bills/Steelers game has been all about RB Le'Veon Bell, but Buffalo QB Tyrod Taylor just connected with his TE Charles Clay for a 40-yard touchdown. TyGod now has 157 passing yards and two scores but the Bills are still down by 11 points after yet another missed extra point.

(3:41PM) The Lions are back in the lead on a wild scramble from QB Matthew Stafford covering seven yards. Stafford now has 223 passing yards, 16 rushing yards and a pair of total scores responsible for.

(3:38PM) WR Dontrelle Inman got a toe across the goal line and that was all he needed as he scored for the third consecutive game and brought the Chargers within 10 points of the Panthers. QB Philip Rivers now has 213 yards and two scores.

(3:36PM) After a low hot by the Cardinals defender, QB Ryan Tannehill limped off the field and backup Matt Moore is warming up and set to enter the game.

(3:33PM) The Chargers had already lost RB Melvin Gordon earlier in the game and now will be without star rookie Joey Bosa after he apparently suffered a concussion. This team has endured an unreal amount of injuries this season, including WR Keenan Allen, RB Danny Woodhead and more.

(3:31PM) Lions QB Matthew Stafford has been intercepted again, the second time today, and this one was taken back for a score, giving the Bears the lead. RB Jordan Howard has been the star for Bears, totaling 110 yards on the day.

(3:28PM) The Vikings have taken the lead over Jacksonville early in the fourth quarter on a short touchdown run for RB Matt Asiata. The Vikes now lead 18-16 early in the fourth. Jags WR Marqise Lee is up to four catches for 104 yards, while star WR Allen Robinson has one catch for 17 yards.

(3:25PM) The Redskins were heating up and looking to be cruising to a win, but QB Kirk Cousins threw a pick six to DB Leodis McKelvin and the Eagles and now down just two points, following an unsuccessful two-point conversion. It is still early in the fourth quarter.

(3:20PM) Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell scored his third rushing touchdown of the day earlier and has nearly 240 total yards on the day. If you are playing against him in your fantasy playoffs, call it a season.

(3:18PM) The aforementioned Broncos just had a trip to the red zone and went for it on fourth down trailing by 13 points, but QB Trevor Siemian threw high into the end zone and no one could bring it in. WR Demaryius Thomas is up to four receptions for 67 yards.

(3:10PM) While San Diego RB Melvin Gordon exited with a hip injury and will not return, a Chargers beat writer has reported the early news on the injury has been positive. If your fantasy teams can survive his loss today, there could be good news coming next week.

(3:08PM) With about five minutes remaining for the Broncos and Titans, there have been very few, if any, updates on Denver's offense. The reason for that is that they have yet to score any points. QB Trevor Siemian has 162 passing yards, WR Emmanuel Sanders has seven grabs for 57 yards and WR Demaryius Thomas has three for 52. Rookie RB Devontae Booker has only carried the ball three times, gaining one yard on the day.

(3:04PM) We already learned that Atlanta WR Julio Jones would not play and now it is official that rookie WR Michael Thomas of the Saints will sit out. This makes TE Coby Fleener and WR Willie Snead much more attractive options today.

(3:02PM) The Bears have closed the gap against Detroit after a beautiful pass from QB Matt Barkley to WR Cameron Meredith, good for a 31-yard touchdown. Meredith now has five catches for 58 yards and the score.

(2:57PM) It's been tough sledding for Colts RB Frank Gore today against the Texans defense. He just caught an 18-yard pass from QB Andrew Luck though and is into the end zone, bringing the Colts to within one score. Gore now has 53 total yards for the game.

(2:56PM) The Browns may not win today, barring a big second-half comeback, but they are on the board. QB Robert Griffin III pushed the pile for a rushing touchdown and the first points of the day for Cleveland.

(2:47PM) There are early rumors that WR DeSean Jackson could return to his former team, the Eagles, this off-season. Today though, he just burned Philly for an 80-yard score from QB Kirk Cousins, giving the Redskins a 14-13 lead. Cousins now has 141 passing yards for the game.

(2:41PM) The Chargers are finally on the board. After a long reception by WR Tyrell Williams, rookie TE Hunter Henry hauled in the scoring pass from QB Philip Rivers. The Panthers have the ball back with a 23-7 lead nearing halftime.

(2:39PM) The Eagles continue to deal with injuries at the running back position. With veteran Ryan Mathews back today, it is now rookie Wendell Smallwood who will miss the remainder of the game with a knee injury. It will be up to Mathews and Darren Sproles to man the backfield.

(2:36PM) Division rivals Chicago and Detroit are doing battle and the Lions lead 10-3 at the half. RB Jordan Howard has 53 total yards, but that is the end of the highlights for the Bears. Lions WRs Marvin Jones (3/59) and Golden Tate (5/49) are putting up respectable lines for the day.

(2:32PM) The Vikings and Jaguars are tied at nine at halftime and unsurprisingly, there has been little offense to speak of so far. WR Allen Robinson continues to struggle, failing to record a first half catch. His teammate WR Marqise Lee does have three grabs for 70 yards. For Minnesota, WR Stefon Diggs has a pair of catches for 50 yards.

(2:25PM) With many of the early games now at halftime, here's a look at the top fantasy scorers so far:

QB- Dalton, Stafford, Newton, Wentz, Tannehill

RB- Bell, Hill, Kelley, Murray, Yeldon

WR- Boyd, JJ Nelson, Stills, Funchess, Boldin

TE- Eifert, Ertz, Sims, Rudolph, Walker

(2:19PM) Neither the Bears nor the Lions had done much offensively today, but with time running out in the first half, QB Matthew Stafford hit WR Anquan Boldin for the first touchdown of the day for either team. The Lions now lead 10-3. Stafford has 176 yards and the score in the first half.

(2:13PM) A couple of quick injury updates for you and they are big ones. Chargers RB Melvin Gordon has been ruled out for the remainder of the game and Falcons WR Julio Jones will not be active today.

(2:07PM) TE Tyler Eifert is back into the end zone for the second time today, catching a five yarder from QB Andy Dalton, who is up to 96 passing yards for the game. Eifert now has a 4/35/2 line with plenty of time left in the second quarter.

(2:05PM) In what many consider a must-win game for both teams, the Texans have taken the lead over Indianapolis thanks to a two-yard run from RB Lamar Miller, who has 36 yards for the game.

(2:02PM) A Ben Roethlisberger interception put the Bills in scoring position and they have cashed in after a short pass from QB Tyrod Taylor to WR Sammy Watkins, his first reception of the day.

(2:00PM) The Dolphins have extended their lead is messy conditions after QB Ryan Tannehill found TE Dion Sims in the end zone. Tannehill has 83 passing yards and two scores early in the second. Meanwhile, the Arizona offense has nothing going. RB David Johnson has a total of 36 yards so far.

(1:58PM) The Panthers have extended their lead on a touchdown pass from QB Cam Newton to WR Devin Funchess, who has a team-high four targets early in the second period.

(1:57PM) The Redskins are on the board late in the second quarter thanks to a 22-yard rushing score from rookie RB Rob Kelley. Kelley has 42 rushing yards on the day and also caught a rare pass for 11 yards.

(1:46PM) RB Le'Veon Bell has done it again, taking the ball into the paint for his second score of the day and the Steelers now lead Buffalo by two scores. Along with the pair of rushing touchdowns, Bell has 87 total yards.

(1:44PM) Panthers QB Cam Newton came up just shy on his scramble towards the end zone, but RB Jonathan Stewart finished off the drive with a dive across the line, giving Carolina a 10-0 lead near the end of the first quarter.

(1:41PM) There was concern about some of the snowy conditions around the league, but the downpour in Miami is proving to be the biggest issue. The Cardinals and Dolphins have combined for five first half turnovers and footing has been hard to come by.

(1:37PM) Lions QB Matthew Stafford suffered an injury to his hand after a hard hit from a Bears defender. He's now wearing a glove and testing things out on the sidelines.

(1:29PM) The injury to Chargers RB Melvin Gordon is to his hip and the team has labeled him as questionable to return to the game. Rookie backup Kenneth Farrow should see plenty of work if Gordon can't return.

(1:27PM) The Steelers look dominant against the Bills so far and RB Le'Veon Bell has the first score of the day, running it in from one-yard out. He's up to 71 total yards on the day.

(1:26PM) A quick update from the Cardinals game. Arizona actually missed the extra point, so they continue to trail Miami, now by one point.

(1:26PM) The Chargers have turned the ball over and that play could be even more costly for San Diego, as RB Melvin Gordon suffered an injury and had to be carted off. More on this injury as it is reported.

(1:23PM) The Cardinals knotted things up with host Miami on yet another long score from WR JJ Nelson, who took the Carson Palmer handoff 56 yards on the end around.

(1:21PM) It looks like the Browns' losing ways will continue. The Bengals are on the board again after a touchdown run from RB Jeremy Hill, who has 33 rushing yards already. Rookie WR Tyler Boyd has 69 total yards in the first quarter.

(1:17PM) The Titans strike first over Denver as RB DeMarco Murray runs the ball in from one-yard out. Tennessee has dominated time of possession in the first quarter with the Broncos and QB Trevor Siemian going three and out in their first possession.

(1:15PM) QB Andrew Luck has the Colts in the red zone, thanks to a 33-yard run, which is the longest run for any Colt this season, and then a 17-yarder from Luck to WR TY Hilton. The Colts need this divisional win over Houston to stay in playoff contention.

(1:13PM) The Cardinals stout defense poses a very tough test for QB Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins today, but they have taken the early lead on a 28-yard pass from Tannehill to WR Kenny Stills

(1:11PM) There are a couple of the hottest players in the league who are staying hot early in today's games. RB Le'Veon Bell of the Steelers already has 58 yards, while Lions WR Golden Tate has three first quarter receptions for 28 yards.

(1:08PM) Many people seem to be picking the Browns to end their season-long losing streak today as they host their in-state rival Bengals, but it was QB Andy Dalton getting his team on the board first as he connected with TE Tyler Eifert for the 14-yard touchdown. That Bengals drive was keyed by a 39-yard reverse by rookie WR Tyler Boyd

(1:04PM) With snow in Buffalo for the Bills/Steelers game as well as in Green Bay where the Packers host the later this afternoon, weather is sure to have an impact today. The Steelers and QB Ben Roethlisberger have started well though with early completions to RB Le'Veon Bell and WR Antonio Brown

(1:03PM) No real surprise, but some other players who are active today are Dolphins WR DeVante Parker, Cardinals WR John Brown and WR Sammy Watkins of the Bills.

(12:56PM) Some other stories to watch among this week's action...the Browns will return to opening week starter QB Robert Griffin III, Broncos QB Trevor Siemian returns after missing last week's game and Redskins TE Jordan Reed also returns to the field.

(12:51PM) Even just minutes away from the early game kickoffs, there is still uncertainty surrounding the status of Falcons WR Julio Jones and Saints rookie WR Michael Thomas. Unfortunately, we fantasy owners can't count on either one playing. Also, Lions RB Theo Riddick was a surprise inactive for today's contest.
