4:00 pm EST Schedule
Eagles 26 - Cardinals 33
Jets 23 - Rams 20
Chiefs 32 - Saints 29
(7:56) Chiefs hang on to win the game.
INJURY UPDATE: Le'Veon Bell takes a jarring face mask penalty and looked shaken up on the field. He does get up and walk off the field of his volition.
(7:45) Having most of his wide receivers out won't stop Drew Brees. He found Lil'Jordan Humphrey for a touchdown and the score is 32-29 with 2:06 left to go. Humphrey was just activated off of the practice squad today.
(7:39) Chiefs K Harrison Butker tacked on another three points against the Saints who are down ten 32-22.
INJURY UPDATE: Clyde Edwards-Helaire was carried off of the field after landing very awkwardly.
(7:27) With 56 seconds on the clock and fourth down and eight yards to go, Hurts drops back and completes it to WR Travis Fulgham. On the next play, he fumbles the ball, recovers it, then somehow completed it to Dallas Goedert. Is there ice in this young man's veins? There are now 21 seconds on the clock. After incomplete passes, one to the end zone, the Eagles have TWO SECONDS on the clock. (This is nail-biting.) The hail mary was up and...... incomplete. Arizona escaped with the win.
(7:26) Alvin Kamara finally found the end zone on a pass from Brees and the Saints are down only by seven.
(7:22) Mahomes fumbled and the Saints recover. They have a lot of time to get some more points on the board with over ten minutes to play.
The Cardinals could not put the game away and the Eagles will get another shot on offense.
(7:17) Hurts threw a long bomb to the TE Dallas Goedert in the end zone, but it bounced incomplete. They go for it on fourth and 21 but the pass is incomplete. The Cardinals will take over with under 2:00 minutes and the lead 33-26.
(7:09) Hurts and the Eagles are trying their best to answer back relying on WR Greg Ward to move the chains. Alshon Jeffrey makes a big catch to get the Eagles to the red zone.
Hi, Le'Veon Bell! After some trickery, Bell rushed in for a Chiefs touchdown as they start to pull away from the Saints 29-15 with a successful two-point conversion to Travis Kelce. Meanwhile, Cam Jordan for the Saints was ejected for throwing a punch.
(7:05) Kyler Murray found Hopkins for the touchdown and gets the Cardinals the lead 33-26 over the Eagles with just over 7:00 minutes still to play.
(7:00) Jets win!
(6:53) Oh my goodness. The Jets Frank Gore just got the first down and they are two minutes away from their first win of the season against the Rams.
(6:51) Rams are facing fourth down and four yards to go and McVay elected to go for it. A long pass to Gerald Everett (who is back after being evaluated for a concussion) is broken up by the Jets Defense. There is around 4:00 to play and the Jets get the ball. Could the Jets possibly win this game? If they do, the Jaguars get the first pick in the draft.
(6:50) Fake punt for the Cardinals! They get the first down and stay on offense. Those are so fun.
(6:45) The Jets are beginning to stall on offense and the Rams are creeping closer and closer. They now trail New York by only three at 23-20.
INJURY UPDATE: Tre'Quan Smith is in the locker room with an ankle injury.
(6:40) Jalen Hurts continues to make something out of nothing (yes, I stole that from Aqib Talib) and he stayed on his feet as he plowed into the end zone. But, they can't the lead if they don't make the extra point. A bad snap by the center broke up the extra point. The game is tied Cardinals 26-26.
Just when you thought Mahomes was throwing the ball away, Mecole Hardman came up with the touchdown. It's almost unfair.
(6:27) Oh no! Or, yay! Depending on who you are rooting for. Murray threw an interception, it looked like it was tipped, and the Eagles take over.
(6:16) Robert Woods just broke through with a 40-yard run to get the Rams in the red zone, down by 13 points. Goff found TE Tyler Higbee for a three-yard touchdown and they start creeping up on the scoreboard.
(6:07) Well, the Jets are back in the red zone but they settle for another field goal. They lead 23-10, but the score should be much more lopsided. The Jets continue to struggle scoring touchdowns.
The Saints nearly recovered a fumbled punt but they accidentally knock it out of the end zone resulting in a safety instead of a touchdown for the Saints.
(6:04) Ouch... big hit on Mecole Hardman after things are getting a little chippy between the Saints and the Chiefs.
(5:55) The Rams tried to stop the bleeding with a 15-yard touchdown pass to WR Robert Woods. The Rams are still down by ten at 20-10.
(5:43) To open up the third quarter, the Jets are already on the Rams' six-yard line thanks to a pass to TE Chris Herndon. Braxton Berrios made a tough catch but can't get past the one-yard line. They hand the ball off to Frank Gore who simply ran straight into his line's butts. On the fourth attempt, Gore does get into the end zone and the Jets have a 20-3 lead over the Rams at So-Fi Stadium. Crazy.
(5:40) What do you know? The call for the Eagles was reversed and they do give the touchdown to Ward, his second of the day. The Eagles go for two, but RB Miles Sanders was short.
(5:33) My goodness, Hurts looks pretty cool under pressure. He found TE Zach Ertz for a 45-yard pass to set up the Eagles on the Cardinals' 20-yard line. Sanders got them to the three-yard line. Hurts found Greg Ward again in the end zone but the refs call him out-of-bounds. Looks darn close, to me. the catch was still impressive and even Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury rushed over to give Ward a fist bump.
(5:31) Wow... the call that Hill was short stood. I completely disagree, but oh well. On the next snap, Hill took it in again, this time it will definitely remain a touchdown.
(5:24) Drew Brees finally completed a pass and his next one was a big one to WR Emmanuel Sanders. Taysom Hill filled in on the following play to rush for a touchdown but was ruled just short. It does look like Hill was in for the score.
Murray threw a touchdown pass the Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals are in the lead 26-14.
INJURY UPDATE: Gerald Everett is being evaluated for a concussion.
(5:18) Eagles for it on fourth down and Hurts found Greg Ward for a touchdown. The Eagles are trying to climb out of an early deficit and have cut the Cardinals' lead to 19-14.
(5:09) New Orleans defense is trying their best to keep Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs bottled up, but they just keep driving down the field. Kansas City is closing in on the end zone at the end of the first quarter. And it's TE Travis Kelce gets in the end zone on a... pass? It was like a flick or a basketball pass-ish.
INJURY UPDATE: Cam Akers is back on the field.
Rams are looking at third and ten and HC Sean McVay looks rather peeved by the situation, losing 13-0 to the Jets. This whole game has been firmly in the Jets' grasp, which is so odd to say.
(5:05) The Cardinals extended their lead 19-7 over the Eagles with a 40-yard field goal.
(4:58) Murray went deep for a WR DeAndre Hopkins coming down with the football between two defenders. He is an impressive human being.
(4:52) Touchdown for WR Tyreek Hill! The Chiefs take the lead 7-0 over the Saints.
The Jets cannot get into the end zone as Sam Darnold is flushed out of the pocket and forced to throw it away on third down.
Drew Brees doesn't look 100% quite yet, but let's hope he shakes the rust off as the game goes on. He's started with five attempts and zero completions.
(4:49) It's a rough day for Jared Goff so far. He's been sacked twice and just threw an interception.
INJURY UPDATE: Rams RB Cam Akers is limping off of the field.
(4:46) They did rule Bell down from the earlier play, by the way.
(4:40) Jets block a punt by the Rams! That sets up the Jets with excellent field position at the Rams 27-yard line. They unfortunately have to settle for just a field goal.
Another blocked punt! This time against the Eagles and Cardinals have excellent field position. Chase Edmonds gets the touchdown.
Drew Brees is picked off by the Chiefs. Le'Veon Bell then fumbled and TE Travis Kelce picked up the ball and ran it the rest of the way for a touchdown. However, it does look like Bell was down, so this could be coming off the board.
(4:34) Kyler Murray added more points to their score against the Eagles with a rushing touchdown.
(4:25) Safety alert! Intentional grounding on Jalen Hurts which resulted in a safety for the Cardinals.
(4:18) I didn't see this coming, but the Jets open up their game against the Rams with a good looking drive downfield with RB Ty Johnson getting in the end zone.
(4:14) HC Doug Pederson neglected to throw the challenge flag after it looked like the Cardinals fumbled. No matter. The Cardinals fumbled again, and this time, it's the Eagles ball.
1:00 pm EST Final Scores
Buccaneers 31 - Falcons 27
49ers 33 - Cowboys 41
Lions 25 - Titans 46
Texans 20 - Colts 27
Patriots 12 - Dolphins 22
Bears 33 - Vikings 27
Seahawks 20 - Washington 15
Jaguars 14 - Ravens 40
(4:27) Well, C.J. Beathard was in the game for the 49ers and threw a hail mary touchdown pass to WR Kenrick Bourne. They still lose 33-41 to the Cowboys.
(4:07) Tony Pollard breaks through the 49ers for a whopping 40-yard touchdown run. He has 12 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns for the Cowboys with Elliott on the sidelines.
(4:00) Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are driving down the field, they call Justin Jefferson out of bounds but they are reviewing the play since it's under 2:00 minutes. Even though the all was reversed to a catch, they couldn't get it done.
Falcons turn it over on down in an epic comeback. Tom Brady comes back on the Falcons... sound familiar?
(3:55) Oh my. The Vikings might get the ball back with under a minute and down only by three (or six) if the Bears make this field goal, which he does! The Vikings have no timeouts and a long way to go for a touchdown.
(3:53) Minshew connected with WR Chris Conley for a Jaguars TD. Way too little way too late.
INJURY UPDATE: James Robinson is on the sideline with an apparent ankle injury.
(3:52) Cousins is forced to throw it away on fourth and one and the Bears look to have this game wrapped up.
(3:48) Ah, the good old days of Antonio Brown - Brady connected with Brown for a 46-yard touchdown. They take the lead 31-27 over the Falcons.
Bah! What is happening in Indianapolis? Looks like Coutee fumbled into the end zone and the Colts recover for a touchback. That was a critical turnover with the Texans down 20-27.
(3:41) Tua Tagovailoa rushed another touchdown.
Trubisky was picked off in the end zone. The Vikings have about three minutes to take the lead as they trail 30-27.
(3:37) My goodness, it's Zach Pascal's second touchdown of the day for the Colts. They take the lead 27-20 with under two minutes to go.
RB J.D. McKissic finds his way into the end zone for Washington after Wilson's turnover. The two-point conversion is unsuccessful but they are only down by five at 20-15.
Lamar Jackson is done for the day since they are up 40-7 against the Jaguars.
(3:29) Fake punt for the Lions! He didn't make it for a first down, but that's still fun.
Rivers hit T.Y. Hilton on a long pass to set them up at the three-yard line. They are tied 20-20 with the Texans.
Russell Wilson turned the ball over to Washington with an interception.
Brady and the Buccs are in the red zone getting ready to take the lead if they can score a touchdown. They are down by three 21-24 against the Falcons. They settled for a field goal to tie it 24-24.
(3:27) TE Mark Andrews gets in the end zone for the Ravens, but I just got a notification that Vikings rookie WR Justin Jefferson cussed out QB Kirk Cousins for basically playing like crap. Apparently, it was audible to a lot of people. Maybe Cousins actually heard him. He ain't wrong.
(3:21) Tagovailoa rushed a touchdown in himself for a Dolphins. Two-point conversion to Salvon Ahmed is successful.
Seriously, at the same time in two different games, we had quarterbacks rush in a TD and both teams go for the two-point conversion and get them. Crazy.
Washington's Peyton Barber gets in the end zone. They trail the Seahawks 20-9. They missed the extra point. Of course. Because that seems to be the thing to do nowadays.
INJURY UPDATE: Wilson is back in the game for the 49ers.
(3:19) Houston tied the game against the Colts with a touchdown to WR Keke Coutee. David Johnson hasn't found the end zone, but he has been heavily involved in the passing game with nine receptions for 90 yards.
(3:14) Wow, Falcons just hurt themselves with two big penalties for 28 yards that are both enforced. It was a pass interference and a face mask on the same player. There had not been a penalty on either side before that. Leonard Fournette punched it in for a Buccaneer touchdown.
(3:08) Blankenship is up for the Colts for a 53-yard attempt. His kick is good!
Dan Bailey kicked a field goal for the Vikings.
Jaguars turn the ball over to the Ravens.
Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz get into the end zone against the 49ers.
(3:03) David Montgomery got his second touchdown of the day for the Bears against the Vikings.
INJURY UPDATE: Raheem Mostert went to the sideline with an injured ankle.
49ers K Robby Gould kicked a field goal to tie their game against the Cowboys at 17-17.
(3:01) Lamar Jackson took one in himself against the Jags. The Ravens lead 26-7.
(2:58) Houston is trying to make some progress against the Colts after a touchdown pass to WR Chad Hansen in the second quarter. They settle for a field goal to trail 13-17.
(2:52) Special teams fake! Dolphins stay on offense! Aw.... man! Never mind. It didn't count after an illegible receiver was flagged.
Dwayne Haskins threw his second interception.
(2:47) TE Hayden Hurst added insult to injury against the Buccaneers with a touchdown for the Falcons.
Ok, Minshew! He drops a beautiful throw to RB James Robinson for a touchdown. The play is under review, it does look like the ball was moving a bit.
(2:38) Dolphins get on the board with RB Salvon Ahmed who was questionable heading into this game. He has 13 carries for 56 yards in addition to the touchdown.
Rodrigo Blankenship knocked his field goal through for the Colts. They lead Houston 17-10.
(2:30) Holy cow, what a catch by Lamb on a free play for the Cowboys. They are now inside field goal range with 42 seconds left and a fresh set of downs against the 49ers. They lead San Francisco 17-14. Surprise, surprise, Zuerlein missed the field goal.
(2:26) Why is Dan Bailey still kicking for the Vikings? His 24-yard field goal try is... good. Phew. They trail the Bears 20-10.
Geez, how many field goals are we going to see before the half? Washington's Dustin Hopkins is up for a field goal try which is good from 48 yards.
(2:23) Justin Tucker kicked another long field goal for the Ravens... but he inexplicably missed. That's very unusual.
Stephen Gostkowski's kick is good. I feel it's necessary to mention that since there have been way too many misses recently.
(2:14) The Falcons are putting the hurt on the Buccaneers who have been held to only 61 yards of total offense so far. Falcons' K Younghoe Koo kicked a field goal to extend their lead 17-0.
Jason Sanders continued the streak of missed field goals from 52 yards out. The Dolphins trail the Patriots 6-0.
It's Dez Bryant in the end zone for the Ravens! I'm still upset for him that he wasn't able to play in the game against the Cowboys.
(2:04) Well, this is interesting. Just learned that the Jaguars don't actually have a punter today. So, they'll be going for it on fourth down pretty much every time. How odd.
(2:02) Ugh. D'Andre Swift fumbled at the goal-line and Tennessee takes over. They had the chance to cut the Titans' lead to one score, but could not capitalize.
Bears RB David Montgomery rushed in a touchdown against the Vikings. He has ten carries for 57 yards and a touchdown so far in this matchup.
(1:51) Ryan Tannehill faked to Henry and dove for a touchdown.
Justin Tucker kicked a field goal for the Ravens.
Greg Zuerlein also made for the Cowboys.
(1:45) Derrick Henry is a bad, bad man. That stiff arm is something to behold.
INJURY ALERT: DK Metcalf looks to be grabbing his right hamstring.
Kirk Cousins was sacked and Chicago recovered.
Nick Folk kicked a field goal for the Patriots.
(1:35) Well, this is a little better. Rookie RB J.K. Dobbins scored for the Ravens. Although, it's been impossible to predict the Ravens backfield all year, so maybe that's not as helpful as one would think.
49ers RB Raheem Mostert busted off an 18-yard run to make it first and goal for San Francisco. Nice block by Brandon Aiyuk, which is nice for real football, not so much for fantasy. Ouch. Mostert was just plastered for a loss of the three yards by the Cowboys Defense. 49ers opt for a passing touchdown to TE Jordan Reed. They trail the Cowboys 7-14.
(1:32) I have a feeling we'll be talking a lot about the Ravens during the 1:00 pm slate of games while they pummel the Jaguars.
What I would like to be talking about are all of the fantasy pieces we actually started finding the end zone. Instead, it's been players like Boykin, Pascal, and Gallup.
Bears settle for a field goal to take a three-point over the Vikings.
Tua Tagovailoa was intercepted by the Patriots in the red zone.
Deshaun Watson fumbled and the Colts have a takeaway.
Wow! 75-yard touchdown pass to WR Corey Davis!
(1:24) The Vikings were quick to respond to the Bears touchdown drive with a score to WR Adam Thielen. They are tied at 7-7.
(1:19) Oy. Touchdown for Miles Boykin and the Ravens. I know, I know. It should have been Brown.
(1:15) The Indianapolis Colts are making their matchup against the Houston Texans look easy. Nyheim Hines and Jonathan Taylor have already combined for 43 yards and Taylor gets into the endzone for a Colts' touchdown to open up the scoring in that game.
The Bears strike first against the Vikings with a touchdown to Darnell Mooney after HC Mike Zimmer challenged the call of a catch by Allen Robinson. I could have sworn that the NFL required two feet in bounds, but, hey, call stands and it resulted in the scoring play for the Bears.
Oh my, we may have another turnover that the Cowboys Defense has forced against the 49ers.
(1:09) No surprise here, but Henry just scored a touchdown for the Titans against the banged-up Detroit Lions. He already has seven carries for 24 yards plus his score.
49ers coughed up the ball after a successfully fielded punt. Cowboys are charging toward the end zone at the 49ers' 22-yard line. Pollard should have a big game with RB Ezekiel Elliot sidelined with a calf injury. He gets the touchdown on the Cowboys drive.
Seahawks had to kick a field against Washington.
Safety alert for the Ravens!
