Jason Pominville is still a great pickup. He was recommended last week on Waiver Wired when he was available in 97% of Yahoo leagues. Pominville’s ownership is currently 12% despite the fact that he has four goals and four helpers during a four-game point streak, while playing with Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner. Jason Spezza, who has eight points in nine games, is available in 87% of Yahoo leagues and Chris Tierney, who has 10 points in nine matches, is owned in only 22% of Yahoo leagues. They are both worth adding if they are sitting on waivers. Josh Morrissey went from a 33% ownership last week to 54%, while Jonathan Drouin went from 20% to 44%.

Now, let’s get into this week’s offerings:
Josh Bailey (NYI) - RW - Owned in 29% of Yahoo leagues
Bailey has generated one goal and four assists during a four-game point streak. He only has two shots over the past three contests, but the playmaking winger has averaged 1.88 shots per match this season. He has collected nine points through nine matches and should have a much higher ownership.
Scott Darling (CAR) - G - Owned in 15% of Yahoo leagues
Darling has recovered from a lower-body injury and has rejoined the Hurricanes from his conditioning stint in the minors. It’s unclear when he will get to start, as the team hasn’t announced who will get the nod on Sunday evening versus the New York Islanders. Darling struggled last season, but he will get another chance to claim the number one job. Petr Mrazek and Curtis McElhinney haven’t been exceptional despite winning records. Mrazek owns a 2.67 goals-against average and .885 save percentage in six appearances, while McElhinney has a 2.76 goals-against average and .892 save percentage in four outings. The door is open for Darling to seize control, which makes him worthy of a flier at the very least at this time.
Neal Pionk (NYR) - D - Owned in 13% of Yahoo leagues
Pionk has contributed six assists in eight games this campaign, which ranks him fourth on the Rangers in scoring even though he has played two fewer matches than the teammates ranked ahead of him. He also leads the club with five power-play points, while seeing action on the top unit. Pionk has added 20 blocks and 13 hits as well.
Andreas Athanasiou (DET) - C, LW - Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues
After a slow start, Athanasiou has caught fire with four goals and one assist in his last five games. He only had one assist in the first five matches of the season. Athanasiou is tied with Dylan Larkin for the team lead in goals and he is one point behind Larkin and Gustav Nyquist for the club lead thanks to his recent surge. He has amassed a team-leading 35 shots on goal and it was only a matter time before he started to produce given the amount of chances he was getting.
Linus Ullmark (BUF) - G - Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Ullmark could split the crease with Carter Hutton this coming week. Buffalo will play four times, including three games in four nights. Hutton has a 4-4-0 record with a 3.07 goals-against average and .905 save percentage, while Ullmark has a mark of 2-0-1 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .935 save percentage. The 25-year-old netminder is coming off a 5-4 overtime loss to Columbus on Saturday, but he has performed well despite limited action. He will make for a good handcuff for Hutton owners this week and could be worth keeping an eye on down the road.
Vince Dunn (STL) - D - Owned in 8% of Yahoo leagues
Dunn has turned heads early in the year with six points (three goals, three assists) through eight games. He has been logging time on the top power-play unit of the Blues, where he has chipped in three points, including two goals, over the past five contests.
Artem Anisimov (CHI) - C - Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues
Anisimov has been back alongside Patrick Kane lately, which helped him break out on Saturday with one goal and two assists in a 7-3 loss to St. Louis. He had contributed just one goal and three helpers in his previous six contests. Still, Anisimov isn’t a stranger to going on hot streaks and a spot with Kane has the potential to make him worthy of a pickup.
Zach Sanford (STL) - C, LW - Owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues
Sanford has been a great addition to the second line with Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron (owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues). He stretched his point streak to four consecutive games on Saturday with a three-point performance against Chicago. Sanford was held off the scoresheet in his season debut, but since then he has three goals and three assists in four outings. Despite his productive play, his ice time has been limited so far. That is a bit of a concern, but his contributions should attract attention in deeper fantasy league, especially if he continues to see minutes alongside O’Reilly.
Colin White (OTT) - C - Owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues
White has been productive with Matt Duchene and Mikkel Boedker, while posting three assists in the last three games. He would certainly benefit from a position change on Yahoo that would give him winger eligibility, but he could still be worth an addition in deeper leagues. Ottawa has a busy schedule for this week with four goals on tap.
Jake McCabe (BUF) - D - Owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues
McCabe has been seeing time on the top pairing with Rasmus Ristolainen. He has been generating plenty of offense, with one goal and six helpers in the last six games. McCabe has only been held off the scoresheet once during that span. He has also been credited with 18 blocks and 18 hits in 11 games this season. The Sabres play four times this coming week, so McCabe will have plenty of chances to keep his hot run going.
