Nick Suzuki went from being owned in 22% of Yahoo leagues a week ago to 29%, while Kevin Fiala’s ownership ballooned from 11% to 39%.  Anthony Cirelli returned from injury on Saturday and he’s still available in 71% of Yahoo pools.

Jason Zucker’s ownership in Yahoo leagues has increased to 55% following his trade to Pittsburgh.  Pavel Francouz (owned in 22% of Yahoo leagues) is an intriguing pickup if Philipp Grubauer’s lower-body injury prevents him from playing this week, while the same can be said for Lars Eller (owned in 16% of Yahoo leagues) if Evgeny Kuznetsov remains on the sidelines with an upper-body injury.

James van Riemsdyk (Philadelphia) - LW - Owned in 28% of Yahoo leagues

van Riemsdyk has amassed six goals and 15 points in the last 14 games.  That includes four goals and four assists during a five-game point streak.  JVR has been seeing time with a variety of linemates and he has struggled at times this year, he is still on pace for a 50-point season.  He has the ability to finish the 2019-20 campaign on a high note.

Kailer Yamamoto (Edmonton) - RW - Owned in 26% of Yahoo leagues

Yamamoto has been a great addition to Edmonton’s lineup since he joined the team from Bakersfield of the AHL at the end of December.  He has eight goals and nine assists in 17 games with the Oilers.  Yamamoto has been a great fit alongside Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.  That combination has been logging big minutes since Connor McDavid’s quad injury.  Yamamoto also has 29 hits and 29 shots this year.  He has been a popular player to add in several formats and if you’ve been following this column then you already know he’s been a frequent recommendation.

Damon Severson (New Jersey) - D - Owned in 24% of Yahoo leagues

Severson has been red hot with three goals and 13 points in his last 16 outings.  He racked two goals and seven helpers during an eight-game point streak, which came to an end on Friday.  Thanks to his recent scoring surge, Severson isn’t far from the scoring pace he set last season when he recorded a personal best 39 points.

Zach Sanford (St. Louis) - C, LW - Owned in 21% of Yahoo leagues

Sanford scored four times in a 6-5 overtime loss to Vegas, which undoubtedly attracted plenty of attention, but he had been playing well before that.  Sanford has accounted for 10 goals and 16 points in the last 13 contests.  He has been held off the scoresheet just four times during that 13-game span.  Sanford has been clicking alongside Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron, who are the top-two point producers on the Blues.

Mikael Backlund (Calgary) - C, RW - Owned in 21% of Yahoo leagues

Backlund has heated up with four goals and four assists in the last six matches.  His five-game point streak was snapped on Saturday, but the Flames center could still be worthy of a flier going into this week’s action.  Backlund has been clicking with Matthew Tkachuk and Andrew Mangiapane on the second line.

Christian Dvorak (Arizona) - C, LW - Owned in 19% of Yahoo leagues

Dvorak has supplied nine goals and 12 points in his past 19 appearances.  That includes seven markers, three assist and 31 shots in the last 14 games.  Dvorak is having a career year in 2019-20, while skating on the top line between Taylor Hall and Conor Garland.  Arizona also has a busy upcoming scheduled with four games slated for this coming week.

Juuse Saros (Nashville) - G - Owned in 15% of Yahoo leagues

Saros has posted a mark of 6-2-0 in his last nine appearances, which includes one outing in relief.  He has posted two shutouts during that span, while stopping 250 of 269 shots.  Saros has won his last two starts, including a 4-3 victory versus St. Louis on Saturday.  He has been seeing the bulk of the action of late instead of Pekka Rinne.  If Saros’ hot play continues and Rinne continues to struggle then the time may be now for the 24-year-old goaltender to take over as the team’s number one netminder.

Josh Bailey (New York Islanders) - LW, RW - Owned in 14% of Yahoo leagues

Bailey has provided four goals and 10 assists in the last 15 games.  He had a three-game point streak prior to being held off the scoresheet for the past two games.  Still, Bailey has been the most productive player for the Islanders of late and could be worthy of a flier with the team poised to play four times this upcoming week.

Nate Schmidt (Vegas) - D - Owned in 10% of Yahoo leagues

Schmidt has seven goals and 28 points in 48 games this season.  He has been operating at close to a 50-point pace this campaign, but he’s still available in the majority of Yahoo pools.  Schmidt has also been hot of late with three goals and seven assists in 11 matches.  Additionally, he ranks third on the Golden Knights with 75 blocks.

Tyler Toffoli (Los Angeles) - LW, RW - Owned in 10% of Yahoo leagues

Toffoli scored a hat trick on Saturday versus Colorado to give him nine goals and 13 points in the past 19 contests.  He has been a bit hold and cold during that stretch, but he will get plenty of chances to continue his hot play this coming week.  Toffoli has been skating on the top line with Anze Kopitar and Alex Iafallo at even strength as well as the top power-play unit.  The trade deadline is fast approaching and Toffoli could be on the move.
