It will be interesting to see how the coaching change in Pittsburgh impacts the combinations and the scoring potential of the team. The Penguins rank just 26th in the league with 2.36 goals for per game. GM Jim Rutherford likens new head coach Mike Sullivan's style to that of Peter Laviolette, so we can probably expect more attack out of the offense, but does Pittsburgh have the puck movers on defense to accomplish that?

Revisiting last week, Valeri Nichushkin jumped from being owned in 14% of Yahoo leagues to a 32% ownership rate and Anders Nilsson went from 17% to 37%. They both still could be available if you are looking to add some depth to your forward and goaltending depth, respectively.
Jason Pominville (MIN) - RW - Owned in 23% of Yahoo leagues
Pominville didn't record a goal in his first 21 games, which left plenty of fantasy owners feeling frustrated. It's not surprising that his ownership percentage fell so far, but he appears to be back on track and should be scooped up if he's available. Pominville has three goals and three assists in his last seven contests and he has picked up a point in four straight games. Minnesota's top line, featuring Pominville, Mikael Granlund and Zach Parise, has been on a roll lately and you should expect them to carry the load offensively for the rest of the season.
Teddy Purcell (EDM) - LW, RW - Owned in 12% of Yahoo leagues
Purcell's production has come in bunches this season, but the one constant has been a steady spot on the Oilers' top line alongside Taylor Hall and Leon Draisaitl. That gives him plenty of potential to explode for stretches like he did in November when he collected nine points in 13 games. Purcell is currently having another strong showing with two goals and four helpers over a three-game scoring spree.
Teuvo Teravainen (CHI) - LW - Owned in 19% of Yahoo leagues
Teravainen has been back on a line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa in recent games, but coach Joel Quenneville hasn't exercised much patience when it comes to who gets to play with the Chicago captain. Toews has gone through plenty of linemates this season, but Teravainen's point generation makes him worthy of a gamble at this time. He has two goals and two assists in his last four outings and his ice time has been on the rise.
Brayden Schenn (PHI) - C, LW - Owned in 35% of Yahoo leagues
Schenn has been riding shotgun alongside Claude Giroux, which has helped him post one goal and six assists in his last 10 appearances. His shot totals have been all over the map this year, but his shooting percentage is down after scoring six goals on 67 shots. I would expect that to improve especially if he keeps playing with Giroux.
Jamie McGinn (BUF) - LW, RW - Owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues
McGinn was included in the trade that landed the Sabres Ryan O'Reilly and he has been a surprisingly strong contributor. He has collected six goals and 14 points in 30 games thanks to a career-high six-game point streak. McGinn posted two goals and five helpers during that span. His spree ended this past Thursday, but he found the back of the net again on Saturday against Los Angeles. McGinn skates on the same line as O'Reilly, who leads the team in scoring, and he has a spot on the power play as well. I don't see him as a long-term solution, but I like the way he is playing right now and he is flying under the radar.
Beau Bennett (PIT) - LW, RW - Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Bennett was playing with Sidney Crosby prior to the firing of head coach Mike Johnston. If he can maintain that spot with Sullivan working behind the bench then he is an intriguing option. Bennett posted a two-goal game against Colorado last Wednesday and he has four points in his past five outings. It wouldn't be surprising if Patric Hornqvist got another look on the top line, but Bennett is worth keeping an eye on.
Elias Lindholm (CAR) - C - Owned in 5% of Yahoo leagues
Lindholm has been quietly racking up points for the Hurricanes. He has contributed two goals and nine helpers in his past 11 games. Lindholm is also riding a four-game scoring streak, where he has notched one goal and five assists. The 21-year-old got off to a horrible start, but he is making up for lost time while playing alongside Eric Staal and Kris Versteeg.
Darren Helm (DET) - C - Owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues
Helm is another player who is trying to work his way back from a terrible start. He has three goals and one assist in his last five games to give him seven points on the year. Helm didn't make his season debut until Oct. 17 after he collided with a teammate during a training camp scrimmage. He suffered a concussion and a shoulder injury that took him a while work his way back from. Helm is playing with Pavel Datsyuk, which will keep him involved in the offensive zone, and it gives him good upside for fantasy GMs in deeper pools.
Matt Beleskey (BOS) - LW - Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Beleskey has been getting his chances on a line with David Krejci and Loui Eriksson, but he still hasn't broken through. He has one goal in his last 14 matches, but he has collected eight assists during that time. Beleskey has 14 points and 94 hits in 26 games this year. I'm not looking for him to hit 20 goals again like he did last campaign, but I do think his ownership percentage should be higher, especially if you are looking for a winger who can register hits and contribute some points.
Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) - G - Owned in 30% of Yahoo leagues
Hellebuyck lost his first game in the NHL this past Friday, but still performed well in a 2-0 loss to Chicago. He posted four straight victories before that, which places him one win behind Michael Hutchinson and Ondrej Pavelec in less than half of their appearances. Hellebuyck owns a .938 save percentage and a 1.79 goals-against average. He is the goalie the Jets should be going with and fantasy owners should get on the bandwagon as well. Hellebuyck makes for a solid depth option at this time.
