Erik Haula went from being owned in 38% of Yahoo leagues last week to 48% thanks to his eight-game point streak. Anthony Beauvillier is still available in 77% of Yahoo leagues. He played alongside John Tavares and Josh Bailey on Saturday.

Now, let’s go into this week’s recommendations:
Travis Konecny (PHI) - C, LW, RW - Owned in 38% of Yahoo leagues
Konecny is still available in the majority of fantasy leagues, but that will change in a hurry. He has been rolling offensively with seven goals and nine assists over the last 16 contests. The 20-year-old has made great strides forward during his second NHL season and he has been rewarded for his efforts with a spot on Philadelphia’s top line alongside Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux.
Nick Schmaltz (CHI) - C, LW - Owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues
Schmaltz had a slow start to the year, but he has been piling up points since the mid-December. He has accounted for 22 points in 23 games since Dec. 10. Schmaltz has produced eight goals and 14 points in his last 14 outings. The 21-year-old has averaged 18:39 of ice time per game this campaign, which is up from 13:16 during his rookie season in 2016-17. He has become a big part of Chicago’s top-six forward group and plays regularly alongside Patrick Kane.
Bo Horvat (VAN) - C - Owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues
Horvat is back after he missed 18 games due to a fractured ankle. He had 20 points in 28 games before he got hurt. In six games since Horvat returned, he has contributed two goals, two assists and 14 shots. He is a key part of Vancouver’s offense and he is capable of much more than he’s showed so far while skating between Brock Boeser and Sven Baertschi.
Mathieu Perreault (WPG) C, LW - Owned in 29% of Yahoo leagues
Perreault has collected five goals and five assists in 11 games. He has 31 points over 41 matches this season. Mark Scheifele’s injury opened up a spot in Winnipeg’s top-six forward group for Perreault and he has played well alongside Bryan Little and Nikolaj Ehlers. It’s possible that he could drop down when Scheifele returns, but he could have a leg up on Kyle Connor now for a scoring-line role.
Mikael Backlund (CGY) - C - Owned in 23% of Yahoo leagues
Backlund doesn’t get nearly enough attention playing behind Calgary’s top duo of Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau. However, the pairing of Backlund and Matthew Tkachuk has been slightly more productive than Monahan and Gaudreau over the last 14 days with 10 points compared to eight. Backlund has generated three goals and 12 assists in his past 18 contests.
Sam Reinhart (BUF) - C, LW, RW - Owned in 23% of Yahoo leagues
Reinhart was mentioned last week and this time around he warrants a deeper look. He has been meshing nicely alongside a red-hot Ryan O'Reilly. Reinhart has earned three goals and five helpers in the last eight matches. He has also contributed five points on the power play during that span, where he skates on the top unit. Kyle Okposo (owned in 24% of Yahoo leagues) is probably still the better option, but Reinhart could finally be turning the corner in what has largely been a disappointing season.
Kevin Fiala (NSH) - LW, RW - Owned in 15% of Yahoo leagues
Fiala has netted five goals and he has added two assists in his last eight games. He appears to be heating up again after he went eight straight contests without a point. Fiala had a nine-game point streak prior to his slump. The Predators finally have a healthy group and the trio of Fiala, Kyle Turris and Craig Smith should be an important source of secondary offense.
Kevin Labanc (SJS) - LW, RW - Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues
Labanc has three goals and six helpers in the past eight games. The combination of Logan Couture, Tomas Hertl and Labanc will be leaned on heavily with Joe Thornton sidelined. Labanc has been a big point producer at lower levels and he has plenty of offensive upside.
Ryan Spooner (BOS) - C, LW - Owned in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Spooner was in and out of the lineup early this year due to injuries, but he has been productive this year with 21 points in 30 games. He is healthy now and he has been playing well on Boston’s second line alongside David Krejci. Spooner has 10 points in the past 13 contests. He could be a solid under-the-radar addition, but be aware that he has averaged a personal low 1.67 shots per game this season.
Bryan Rust (PIT) - LW, RW - Owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues
Rust has registered three goals and two assists in five games since he returned to action from an upper-body injury. He has been playing alongside Sidney Crosby, who just had his 11-game point streak snapped on Saturday. Rust could be a player worth monitoring at the very least because he has had success in the past when he’s played with Pittsburgh’s top players.
