Weather: Week 9 Forecasts

Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

Another week of warm fall weather is upon us, with uncharacteristically high temperatures found across the country once again this week. Two smaller storm fronts will bring wet weather into the Pacific Northwest and Southern Plains regions on Sunday, but the remainder of the United States will enjoy warm, cozy conditions yet again as pleasant weather continues into November. The Week 9 NFL slate will dodge the two patches of rain expected on Sunday, as the Seattle Seahawks won’t host their home game until Monday night after precipitation has moved through the Northwest, and no games will be hosted anywhere near the southern portion of the country where rain is expected.

The result is another worry-free week in fantasy football, with comfortable weather conditions expected for all remaining outdoor Week 9 games.

Worry-Free Weather

Pittsburgh at Baltimore (1:00 PM ET): Sunshine and clear skies will welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday, where Ben Roethlisberger will make his return from a knee injury. Temperatures of 66 degrees are expected, with minimal wind impact in the forecast. All fantasy options in this AFC North tilt are safe to start as normal.

Dallas at Cleveland (1:00 PM ET): The Dak Prescott show travels to Cleveland in Week 9, where the Dallas Cowboys will find partly cloudy skies and 60 degree temperatures on Sunday. Winds of just six mph won’t be cause for alarm in this matchup, so start all Cowboys and Browns players without worry.

Jacksonville at Kansas City (1:00 PM ET): The Chiefs will host Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, where fans will enjoy comfortable fall conditions. Partly cloudy skies and 68 degree temperatures will be found in Kansas City, with calm winds expected to top out at seven mph.

NY Jets at Miami (1:00 PM ET): The Jets and Dolphins will face off in a divisional game on Sunday, and conditions will be fine for this AFC East matchup. Cloudy skies will hover over Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, with 79 degree temperatures expected at kickoff. Winds will be a bit high at 15 mph, but are not anticipated to reach levels of concern during this contest.

Philadelphia at NY Giants (1:00 PM ET): MetLife Stadium will enjoy mostly sunny skies on Sunday when the Eagles roll into town to take on the Giants. Temperatures of 58 degrees won’t be a concern for Carson Wentz or Eli Manning in this game, and 12 mph winds should be easily manageable.

Carolina at Los Angeles (4:05 PM ET): All four California-based NFL teams will host home games on Sunday, with comfortable fall weather expected for each game. Los Angeles will see morning clouds give way to afternoon sunshine, with 73 degree weather expected at kickoff between the Rams and visiting Carolina Panthers. Winds of just three mph will hardly be noticeable as Case Keenum and Cam Newton lead their teams in this NFC matchup.

New Orleans at San Francisco (4:05 PM ET): The Bay Area will be a bit cooler than Southern California, but 69 degree temperatures are more than respectable in early November. Mostly cloudy skies will be present at kickoff between the Saints and 49ers, with 10 mph winds no cause for concern. Start all fantasy options in this game as usual.

Tennessee at San Diego (4:25 PM ET): San Diego will unsurprisingly see the best Week 9 weather, with sunny skies and 71 degree temperatures expected at Qualcomm Stadium when kickoff arrives. Winds at 10 mph will be manageable for both the Titans and Chargers, so no fantasy roster alterations are required for this matchup.

Indianapolis at Green Bay (4:25 PM ET): Even Green Bay, Wisconsin will enjoy pleasant November conditions on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies and 66 degree temperatures expected at Lambeau Field when the Colts and Packers face off. Winds will sit at a mild six mph during this game, so no adjustments to fantasy lineups are required.

Denver at Oakland (8:30 PM ET): When Oakland and Denver kickoff on Sunday night, cloudy skies will hang over the Oakland Coliseum with temperatures dipping to 55 degrees as night falls. Daytime winds of eight mph will drop further to four mph, leaving both kicking and passing games uninterrupted in this AFC West battle.

Buffalo at Seattle (8:30 PM ET, Mon): Weekend rain will move through the Seattle area on Saturday and early Sunday, leaving clear conditions for Monday Night Football. The Buffalo Bills will be welcomed to CenturyLink Field by cloudy skies, with temperatures falling to a chilly 49 degrees as kickoff arrives on Monday. Winds of a mere four mph will be no cause for concern, as both teams will enjoy mild conditions for the final game of Week 9.
