All three NASCAR top-level series were active at the Daytona International Speedway 14-turn road course which covers 3.57 miles using parts of the 2.5-mile high-bank tri-oval and some very tricky left/right turns in the infield. The majority of the drivers had never driven on this course. Since NASCAR has cancelled practice sessions and qualifying for the remainder of 2020 their first competition lap on the circuit was at the drop of the green flag.
