Wrap-up: Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) in Nevada hosted all three NASCAR top series during this past weekend. On Friday night, the Gander Outdoors Truck Series ran the 134-lap Strat 200 at the 1.5-mile tri-oval. The XFINITY Series featured the 213-lap (13 laps in overtime) Boyd Gaming 300 on Saturday. The Monster Energy Cup teams took to the track on Sunday afternoon with the 267-lap Pennzoil 400. The results and upcoming scheduled events for the NASCAR Home Tracks are also shown below.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Kevin Harvick (No. 4 Ford Mustang) won the Pole Award for the Pennzoil 400 with a lap of 180.517 mph. This is his 26th pole in 649 MENCS races. It is his first pole and second top-10 start in 2019 and first pole in 20 races at LVMS. Denny Hamlin (second) posted his third top-10 start of 2019 and his fourth in 15 races at LVMS. Kyle Busch (third) posted his 10th top-10 LVMS start and second in three races this season. Daniel Hemric (fifth) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender.
Did not qualify: No one. 38 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.

Results: Joey Logano (No. 22 Ford Mustang) won the Pennzoil 400, his 22nd victory in 366 MENCS races. This is his first victory and second top-10 finish in 2019. It is his first victory and eighth top-10 finish in 12 races at LVMS. Brad Keselowski (second) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 12 Vegas races and second top-10 series finish in 2019. Kyle Busch (third) posted his ninth top-10 finish in 16 Cup races at LVMS. Pole-sitter Kevin Harvick led a race-high 88 laps and finished the 267-lap race in fourth place. Daniel Hemric (23rd) was the highest finishing ROTY.

Standings: Joey Logano leads the point standings by 2 points over Kevin Harvick.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS)
Time Trials: Weather (rain) forced cancellation of qualifying for the NXS Boyd Gaming 300 at LVMS. The lineup was set based on final 2018 NXS owner's points which put the No. 00 Ford (current driver Cole Custer) on pole, the No. 42 Toyota (currently Chad Finchum) in second starting position, No. 20 Toyota (Christopher Bell) third, No. 9 Chevrolet (Noah Gragson) fourth and No. 22 Ford (Austin Cindric) rounding out the top five on the grid.
Did Not Qualify: No one. 38 entries for the 38-car field.

Results: MENCS regular Kyle Busch, driving the No. 18 Toyota, won the Boyd Gaming 300, his 93rd victory in 346 NXS races. This is his first victory and first top-10 finish in 2019. It is his second victory and sixth top-10 finish in 15 NXS races at LVMS. John Hunter Nemechek (second) posted his first top-10 finish in his first start at LVMS. It is his second top-10 finish in 2019. Noah Gragson (third), the highest finishing ROTY, posted his first top-10 finish in his first race at LVMS.

Standings: Christopher Bell leads the point standings by 18 points over Cole Custer.

Time Trials: MENCS regular Kyle Busch, driving the No. 51 Toyota Tundra, won the Pole Award for the Strat 200 with a lap of 178.903 mph. This is his 22nd pole in 147 NGOTS races. It is his first pole and second top-10 start in 2019 and second pole in three truck races at LVMS. Brett Moffitt (second) posted his third top-10 start of 2019 and his third in three Vegas races. Harrison Burton (third), the fastest qualifying ROTY, posted his first top-10 start at LVMS and his third in three series races this season.

Results: Kyle Busch won the Strat 200, his 53rd victory in 147 NGOTS races. This is his second series victory and second top-10 finish in 2019. It is his second victory and third top-10 finish in three NGOTS races at LVMS. Brett Moffitt (second) posted his second top-10 finish in three races at LVMS. It is his second top-10 finish in 2019. Matt Crafton (third) posted his 12th top-10 finish in 20 LVMS races. Harrison Burton (fifth) was the highest finishing ROTY.
