NBA DFS Plays: Sunday 10/27

Updated On: October 27, 2019, 10:39 am ET

This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at the four-game slate starting at 6:00 ET on Saturday.

POINT GUARD

Kendrick Nunn - Miami (at Minnesota)

Jimmy Butler will miss his third straight game tonight, and Nunn has been solid in his absence. That includes fantasy performances of 36 and 38 fantasy points with 26 and 28 minutes against the Grizzlies and Bucks respectively. Nunn’s salary has been marginally climbing in the wake of those outbursts, but he’s still too cheap when considering his role sans Butler. Miami slides into a good matchup tonight against a fast-paced Minnesota team that is more focused on offense than defense.

Also Consider: Luka Doncic, Goran Dragic, Devonte’ Graham

SHOOTING GUARD
Delon Wright - Dallas (vs. Portland)

Wright was a fantasy bust in his first game with Dallas, producing just 17 fantasy points through 21 minutes. However, he moved to the bench for Friday’s meeting with the Pelicans, responding with 48 FP across 31 minutes. Coming off the bench enables Wright to soak up more usage in lineups that don’t feature Doncic or Porzingis. That’s an excellent fit for him, and I’m expecting Wright to become a solid fantasy option in that role moving forward. Needless to say, he’s a strong mid-range lift in tonight’s brief slate.

Also Consider: Tyler Herro, Caris LeVert

SMALL FORWARD

Justise Winslow - Miami (at Minnesota)

As mentioned earlier, Butler’s absence opens up plenty of usage for the other Miami players. That includes Winslow, who will be handling the ball more while seeing some extra minutes. He has thrived with the added responsibility while racking up 49 and 36 fantasy points in 36 and 40 minutes respectively through the first two games of the season. Winslow stands to benefit from playing up in pace with a high over/under (223.5) in Minnesota.

Also Consider: LeBron James, Taurean Prince (more on FD)

POWER FORWARD

Bam Adebayo - Miami (at Minnesota)

I’m not trying to repeat myself, but building a Miami stack makes for a fine DFS strategy through all formats tonight. The absence of Butler will force the rest of the starting lineup to step up, and that includes Adebayo. If we are being honest, Bam would probably be a strong DFS lift even if Butler was active tonight. The Miami forward/center’s breakout season is underway, as he’s fresh off an outstanding 19-13-8 (47 FP) line at Milwaukee … You could conceivably roll with Nunn, Herro, Winslow, and Adebayo in the same lineup tonight. Don’t forget about Dragic from Miami either.

Also Consider: Anthony Davis, Robert Covington (more on FD)

CENTER

Hassan Whiteside - Portland (at Dallas)

It’s only fitting that we mention a former Miami player after a Heatwave rolled through this article (bad pun...I know). Whiteside, who is now with the Blazers, is filling in as Portland’s primary center with Jusuf Nurkic sidelined for several more months. He has performed very well in that role, averaging 26 minutes and 41 fantasy points through the first two games. This should be a competitive draw at Dallas, who allowed Thomas Bryant and Derrick Favors to record efficient “per minute” production against them this week.

I love Karl-Anthony Towns as much as the next guy, and he’s the top overall play on this slate. However, it may be difficult to squeeze him into a reliable lineup unless injuries present more value. That’s why Whiteside was featured in the center spot. Take note that LeBron James has an excellent draw against Charlotte tonight, and he demands your attention at a thin SF position - especially on FanDuel.

Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns, Cody Zeller
