Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers – Open: +4.5; Move: +4; Move: +3.5; Move: +4; Move: +4.5; Move: +5; Move: +4.5; Move: +5; Move: +5.5

Kansas City was a preseason Super Bowl favorite, yet could find itself in second place in the AFC West if it stubs its toe in this 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. In Week 11, the Chiefs let a 29-20 fourth-quarter lead slip away in a wild finish at Tennessee, losing 35-32 as 5-point favorites.

There were also high expectations this year for Los Angeles, but a 1-5 SU stretch in the first half has made the season an uphill climb. The Chargers (4-6 SU, 3-5-2 ATS) come in off a mini-bye, having played in the Week 10 Thursday nighter, which they lost 26-24 at Oakland laying 1 point.

This line dipped to Chiefs -3.5 early last week, then began climbing Sunday, reaching -5.5 this morning. Davis is bracing for bettors to cash in again, as they did in a big way Sunday.

“It’s tough to put a bowtie on a trash pile,” he said. “All of the parlays with Dallas, New Orleans, New England and the Los Angeles Rams on them that continue to tonight have Kansas City and/or Over on them. The only way we can win tonight is with Chargers and Under. If it comes K.C. and Over, it will be our biggest single-game loser of the season. Four times as many tickets, five times as much money on K.C.”

The total opened at 53 at Caesars books, dipped to 52, then back to 53.

“Two-and-half times more tickets and 2.5 times more money on the Over,” Davis said.”
