NBA DFS Plays: Tuesday 2/4

Updated On: February 4, 2020, 11:29 am ET

This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at Tuesday’s four-game main slate starting at 7:30 ET.

POINT GUARD

Austin Rivers - Houston (vs. Charlotte)

Russell Westbrook is out tonight, so Austin Rivers should step into a prominent role. However, Rivers himself is questionable with an illness, so we’ll need to double-check his status while moving closer to tip-off. If Rivers can’t play, then Ben McLemore becomes a strong DFS bargain through all formats. If Rivers is active, he’ll likely get the starting nod with plenty of minutes against a Charlotte team that ranks 26th in overall defensive efficiency.

Also Consider: Lonzo Ball, Eric Bledsoe

SHOOTING GUARD

James Harden - Houston (vs. Charlotte)

Harden was amazing last night, racking up 68 fantasy points with a sweet 40-10-9 line against the Pelicans. The former MVP seemingly tweaked his knee in that game, but he played through the ailment. We’ll need to keep that in mind while confirming his status tonight. Assuming Harden plays, he’ll take on as much usage as he can handle with Westbrook doubtful. The matchup looks great against a Charlotte squad that ranks 23rd in defensive efficiency to shooting guards.

Also Consider: Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo

SMALL FORWARD

Eric Gordon - Houston (vs. Charlotte)

Gordon had a career performance with 50 real points (68 FP) at Utah. He has been somewhat mediocre with 20, 27, and 25 fantasy points in three games since then. It’s worth noting that Gordon’s outburst last week came with Westbrook out, and Russ is doubtful to play tonight. That should funnel more usage to Gordon, and he’ll look to cash-in on this optimistic draw vs. Charlotte … I’m not afraid to take three or four Rockets in my cash game lineups tonight. Austin Rivers, James Harden, Eric Gordon, and Danuel House should all see a significant boost with Russell Westbrook and Clint Capela doubtful.

Also Consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Danuel House

POWER FORWARD

Jerami Grant - Denver (vs. Portland)

Michael Porter Jr., Paul Millsap, and Mason Plumlee are all out tonight, meaning Grant will continue to see plenty of run in Denver’s frontcourt. He saw a whopping 45 minutes (with overtime) Sunday at Detroit, and Grant should receive a full helping of minutes yet again. That should translate into positive fantasy production against a Portland team that ranks below average in defensive efficiency to frontcourts.

Also Consider: Kevin Love, Julius Randle (if playing)

CENTER

Nikola Jokic - Denver (vs. Portland)

Jokic is coming off his best game of the season, posting 80 fantasy points with a 39-10-11 line at Detroit. With that, the Denver center has been over 54 fantasy points in four of his last six games. He should be able to continue that streak against a Portland squad that ranks 20th in defensive efficiency to opposing big men. The last time Jokic faced the Blazers, he posted 20-11-6 despite a mediocre shooting night. He has upside beyond that tonight.

Also Consider: Cody Zeller
