There are four games in the NHL on Tuesday.
Patrice Bergeron (Boston) - C - $7,300 (FanDuel), $7,100 (Draft Kings), $29 (Yahoo)
Although the Bruins looked mediocre at best during the round-robin, the top line of Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand looked like their old selves in Sunday’s contest against Washington. I love taking whole lines in DFS and this seems like the perfect time to take Boston’s elite.
Andrei Svechnikov (Carolina) - W - $6,800 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)
Svechnikov vaulted himself into ‘stud’ status as far as young players are concerned, with an outstanding effort against the New York Rangers in the play-in series. Svechnikov had three goals and five points in the three-game sweep and is coming off a 24 goal, 61-point performance as a 19-year-old sophomore in the NHL. The Hurricanes struck gold taking him second overall in the 2018 Draft.
Dominik Kubalik (Chicago) - W - $5,300 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings), $19(Yahoo)
The Chicago rookie scored twice and added three assists in the Blackhawks Game 1 win over Edmonton and after a couple of pointless games, Kubalik scored the game-winner in clinching the series win in Game 4. Kubalik led all rookies in goals in 2019-20 with 30 and is a good DFS play on Tuesday.
Bargain Bin: Pierre-Luc Dubois (Columbus) - C - $5,700 (FanDuel), $4,900 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo), Elias Lindholm (Calgary) - W - $5,600 (FanDuel), $5,300 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo) Alexander Radulov (Dallas) – W - $4,700 (FanDuel) $4,700 (DraftKings), $15 (Yahoo)
Miro Heiskanen (Dallas) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $4,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)
Heiskanen is the Stars top defenseman (it’s not John Klingberg anymore) as the sophomore had eight goals and 35 points in 68 games including seven helpers on the power play. He had four assists in the three round-robin games, helping out on all three goals the Stars scored against the Golden Knights Monday. He is a stud and is only going to get better. He should win at least one Norris Trophy in his career.
Seth Jones (Columbus) - $4,900 (FanDuel), $5,700 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)
You have to watch Jones play to see how really great he is. I love the way he plays and controls the game. Jones can also score as he had six goals and 30 points in 56 regular season games and he also potted one against Toronto in Game 3. Jones plays a ton of minutes and is more than capable offensively if the Blue Jackets go down a couple of goals in Game 1.
Alec Martinez (Vegas) - $3,800 (FanDuel), $4,200 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)
Erik Gustafsson (Calgary) - $4,200 (FanDuel), $3,800 (Draft Kings), $15 (Yahoo)
Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay) - $8,900 (FanDuel), $8,300 (DraftKings), $35 (Yahoo)
Vasilevskiy is the top goaltender in the NHL at this time and since the Lightning are one of the top-three teams entering Stanley Cup play, he looks to be as sure a play as any on Tuesday against the pesky Columbus Blue Jackets. He was 35-14-3 with a 2.56 GAA and a .917 save percentage and gave up seven goals on 89 shots in the three round-robin games.
Other plays: Robin Lehner (Vegas) - $8,300 (FanDuel), $8,200 (DraftKings), $24 (Yahoo)
