Point Guard

Jamal Murray - Denver Nuggets (vs. Los Angeles) DK: MVP $15900 UTL $10600 FD: $13000 Yahoo: $35

Denver figured out a way to take game three. Personally, I was surprised. The Lakers seemed to have Denver seriously outmatched over games one and two. On the back of Jamal Murray, Denver held onto game three by a thread. If Denver wants to have a shot in this series, Jamal Murray needs to take charge. In-game three Murray totaled 28 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds. He played a total of 44 minutes. While Murray was on the court the Nuggets were +8. This stat was second-best on the team only to Paul M\illsap who had a +11 +/- stat. It’s as simple as this, if you’re making a lineup based off the narrative that Denver wins (or keeps it close), Murray is a must-play.

Other PG Option: Rajon Rondo - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Denver Nuggets)

Shooting Guard

Kentavious Caldwell - Pope - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Denver Nuggets) DK: MVP $6900 UTL $4600 FD: $7500 Yahoo: $11

With Denver trying their best to keep LeBron out of the paint, the three-ball has been the go-to pass for the Lakers. The defense has been committed to collapsing on Lebron, leaving KCP and Danny Green open for three. Caldwell - Pope has proven to capitalize on these opportunities. Green has taken way too many shots this series and is shooting 28.6 % over four total starts against Denver this season. That's not good! If Danny Green is sidelined for this game, KCP becomes a significantly better play with increased usage.

Other SG Option: Gary Harris - Denver Nuggets (vs. Los Angeles Lakers)

Small Forward

LeBron James - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Denver Nuggets) DK: MVP $19200 UTL $12800 FD: $16500 Yahoo: $54

Do I need to tell you to invest in Lebron? I hope not. James is a stat machine. Yes, Anthony Davis sees significant usage but Lebron is the facilitator. Both Davis and Lebron should be present in your showdown lineups tonight. The value plays are where it gets tough. “Stars and Scrubs” is the strategy that you’ll want to employ tonight and every showdown slate for that matter. The upside that you could potentially reach by investing in stars like Davis and Lebron is more important than any mid-range value. The perfect example is Paul Millsap. Can he hit value in regards to his salary? Sure. Is that value going to be enough to take down a GPP tournament? Probably not. Invest in James tonight along with Davis for the optimal lineup.

Other SF Option: Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets (vs. LA Lakers)

Power Forward

Anthony Davis - Los Angeles Lakers (vs. Denver Nuggets) DK: MVP $18600 UTL $12400 FD: $10500 Yahoo: $50

As I mentioned above, Davis should be a key part of your lineup. His series stats are very impressive. Fading Davis at his current offensive usage is not an option. Los Angeles’ big man is averaging 46.4 DK points per game while shooting 52 % from the field. He’s playing 38.2 minutes per game. Expect Davis to be a highly rostered player in both the MVP slot’s on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The Los Angeles Lakers are favored by -250 with a 214.5 O/U.

Other PF Option: Paul Millsap - Denver Nuggets (vs, Los Angeles Lakers) *cash only*

Dwight Howard - Los Angeles Lakers (Denver Nuggets) DK: MVP $5400 UTL $3600 FD: $8000 Yahoo: $10

*Bargain Bin*

Dwight has proven to serve an important purpose in this series. Rebounding and attempting to maintain Jokic are his primary objectives. Scoring can be considered a bonus for those who decide to roster Dwight tonight. Assuming he stays out of foul trouble, Howard can be considered a solid GPP and cash game play tonight.

Other C Option: Nikola Jokic - Denver Nuggets (vs. Los Angeles Lakers)
