Updated On: September 28, 2020, 11:09 am ET

NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster five players (a captain worth 1.5 points and four other players) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for six players (a captain at 1.5 times the points and five other players). Always put your best player in the captain’s spot!

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) - W - $14,500 (FanDuel), $10,800 (Draft Kings)

Kucherov heads into Game 6 on a four-game points streak, scoring once and chipping in with six assists. He continues to lead the NHL in playoff scoring with 33 points. The former Art Ross Trophy winner finished seventh in NHL scoring during the regular season and should be able to turn it on Monday night as the Lightning will have a huge hole to dig out of if they drop Game 2.

Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - D - $12,000 (FanDuel), $9,000 (DraftKings)

Hedman is a top-three defenseman in the NHL and is a finalist for the Norris Trophy this season after winning it in 2017-18. He is only the third defenseman in NHL history to score 10 goals in one playoff season trailing only Paul Coffey’s 12 in 1985 and Brian Leetch who had 11 in 1994. He also has 21 points in 24 games. Hedman leads the Lightning defensive corps and is a huge part of their potent power play.

Ondrej Palat (Tampa Bay) – W - $10,000 (FanDuel), $8,400 (DraftKings)

Palat had been on fire of late with three goals and five points in his last four games, picking up a point in every game. He was red-hot before that with eight goals in eight games and has 11 goals and 18 points in 24 games.. He plays on the Lightning’s top power play with Steven Stamkos out of the lineup and has been a stud for Tampa Bay, playing on the top line with Kucherov and Brayden Point.

Brayden Point (Tampa Bay) – W - $15,000 (FanDuel), $9,400 (DraftKings)

Point is laboring with an undisclosed injury but you wouldn’t know it by his production of late. He is second in scoring with 32 points and has four goals and seven points in his last four games. Point has been an unheralded star the last couple of seasons so it’s nice to see that he is getting plenty of notice in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Miro Heiskanen (Dallas) – D- $8,500 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings)

Heiskanen has come into his own during the playoffs and he leads all blueliners with 26 points in the post-season thus far. He quarterbacks the Dallas power play and the Stars have been a scoring machine in the post-season with the young Finn leading the way. He could be a future superstar in the NHL as he is already a star at the tender age of 21. Heiskanen has a goal and two assists in his three-game scoring streak and will look to push the series to a Game 7 with a big effort Monday.

Bargain Bin: Denis Gurianov (Dallas) – W- $6,500 (FanDuel) $6,600 (DraftKings), Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) - C - $8,000 (FanDuel), $6,200 (DraftKings), Joe Pavelski (Dallas) – C - $9,500 (FanDuel) $8,000 (DraftKings), Jamie Oleksiak (Dallas) – D - $8,000 (FanDuel) $3,000 (DraftKings), Blake Comeau (Dallas) – D - $6,000 (FanDuel), $2,000 (DraftKings), Corey Perry (Dallas) – W - $7,500 (FanDuel), $6,000 (DraftKings)
