FanDuel NBA Plays: Tuesday

Updated On: December 3, 2018, 6:02 pm ET

We have reached the second-to-last day of the NBA regular season, and Tuesday night’s slate only features three games. That’s going to make building lineups all the more difficult.

Here are my top FanDuel picks.

Point Guard

Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers, $10,900 – The Clippers are in a very favorable spot tonight when they square off with the Suns. They are currently battling for playoff positioning and have a chance to secure home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs. For this reason, their starters continue to play heavy minutes while many teams in the NBA have either shut down their stars or are closing monitoring the playing time. Chris Paul has produced at least 37 fantasy points in 10 straight games. He is the top overall play on the slate.

George Hill, Indiana Pacers, $7,600George Hill has been steady and consistent since returning from injury months ago. In his last 10 games, Hill has exceeded 30 fantasy points on eight occasions. On this short three-game slate, the consistency of Hill holds a ton of value.

Shooting Guard

DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors, $8,600 – Although the price on DeRozan is nearing a season high, he is very difficult to ignore tonight. He has not produced less than 35 fantasy points in any of his last five games and draws an excellent matchup tonight against Boston. Looking at the NBA odds, this game is featuring an appealing over/under of 204 with Boston favored by four. DeRozan is a solid SG option tonight.

Louis Williams, Toronto Raptors, $5,200 – Williams continues to produce at a consistent level. He has played at least 26 minutes in nine out of 10 games and has recorded between 18 and 37 fantasy points during this stretch. On most occasions it is difficult to trust a player that is slated to come off of the bench, but Williams is certainly an exception.

Small Forward

C.J. Miles, Indiana Pacers, $5,100 – Coming in at $5,100, C.J. Miles is surprisingly $100 cheaper than the most expensive player at the small forward position. In his last two games, Miles has compiled 31 and 48.5 fantasy points. Miles has the green light to shoot while on the court and is player that has never encountered a bad shot, which is ideal for FanDuel’s scoring system. Miles is a fine SF option tonight.

P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns, $5,000 – Tucker is a lock for steady minutes due to the Suns’ current injury situation. He has played at least 33 minutes in seven out of 10 games and will likely exceed that total again tonight. The matchup against the Clippers is ideal, as they do not defend the wing positions well. In addition to the solid matchup, the Clippers will typically roll out a smaller lineup, which should keep Tucker on the court.

Power Forward

Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers, $9,500 – For many of the same reasons mentioned in the Chris Paul writeup, Blake Griffin is also a solid play. As the Clippers battle for home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, their starters are locked into heavy minutes. Griffin has been playing quite well lately and the matchup tonight against the Suns is highly favorable.

Patrick Patterson, Toronto Raptors, $4,500 – Patterson would become an excellent value tonight if Amir Johnson (questionable) were to miss tonight’s game. While not overly productive, Patterson logged 37 minutes of action in Johnson’s absence last game. The matchup tonight is ideal, as the Boston Celtics have been dismantled by opposing power forwards and centers throughout the season.

Center

DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles Clippers, $8,900 – As I’m sure you know by now, I’m very bullish on the Clippers tonight as they battle for playoff positioning. Jordan provides a great spot to get more exposure to the Clippers. Jordan has exceeded 32 fantasy points in five straight games and has a prime opportunity to extend that streak tonight against the Suns.
