Western Hockey League

Brayden Burke scored a goal on Monday to extend his point streak to five games.  That's brought him up to five goals and 27 points in 15 contests with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.  Kailer Yamamoto is also on a five-game point streak after recording three assists on Tuesday.  He has five goals and 18 assists in 17 contests with the Spokane Chiefs this season.  Tyson Baillie set a career-high last season with 76 points in 68 contests, but he might top that in 2015-16.  He already has 10 goals and 28 points in 16 contests with the Kelowna Rockets.  Brayden Point leads the WHL so far with 32 points, including 12 goals, in 14 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors.  The 19-year-old was taken by the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 79th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Ontario Hockey League

With Stephen Harper's tenure as Prime Minister of Canada over, it seems like a good time to look at the player with the same name.  Harper, the 20-year-old member of the Hamilton Bulldogs, had two assists on Wednesday to kick off the month on a high note.  The defenseman recorded 36 points last season, but he already has eight goals and 11 assists in 15 contests this season.  You might remember that Josh Ho-Sang got kicked out of the New York Islanders' training camp because he showed up late for the first day.  That's a considerable setback for him, but since then he has scored five goals and 22 points in 15 contests with the Niagara IceDogs.  J.J. Piccinich is on a three-game point streak after scoring a goal and registering an assist on Sunday.  He now has 11 goals and 20 points in 13 games in his rookie season with the London Knights.  Alexander Nylander's transition from Swedish hockey to the OHL seems to be going smoothly.  The 17-year-old forward has 10 goals and 22 points in 17 contests with the Mississauga Steelheads.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

Although Mathieu Bellemare surrendered four goals on Sunday, he held the competition to just three goals over his previous three games.  He's posted a 1.99 GAA and .912 save percentage in 13 contests with the Gatineau Olympiques in 2015-16.  Martins Dzierkals had a goal and two assists on Sunday to extend his point streak to 14 games.  He now has 11 goals and 26 points in 16 contests with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.  He was taken by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 68th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.  Guillaume Gauthier's own point streak reached seven contests when he registered an assist on Wednesday.  The 20-year-old forward has 17 goals and 31 points in 20 contests in 2015-16.
